About this listen
It's almost summer in Southbourne, and the ladies of the Charity Shop Detective Agency are ready for another season of sun, sea, and... murder.
Amongst the rows of charming, brightly painted cabins, an elderly man's beach hut is set on fire in the middle of the night—while he sleeps inside.
By day, Fiona, Sue, and Daisy volunteer at the Dogs Need Nice Homes charity shop. By night, they investigate crimes. And they're determined to get to the bottom of this murder.
Malcolm Crainey was an obsessive beach-comber who lovingly decorated his hut with the treasures he found by the sea. Who'd want to kill a harmless old man?
The ladies soon uncover a long list of suspects, from neighbors who hated Malcolm for refusing to swap huts to members of the snobby beach hut association who took umbrage with Malcom's quirky cabin decorations.
Then, another hut is burnt down in the dead of night. Thankfully, there was no one inside this time. But the pressure is on—can Fiona, Sue, and Daisy find the culprit before the beach hut murderer strikes again?
Put the kettle on and discover an utterly charming cozy murder mystery set in a sleepy English seaside town. Fans of The Thursday Murder Club, Janice Hallett, Simon Brett, Ian Moore, and Sarah Yarwood-Lovett will adore this exciting new talent in cozy crime.

Excellent sequel
Really enjoyed returning to Fiona, Daisy, and Partial Sue. Nice little story with a couple of good twists. Very “cosy” and well performed. Hoping there’ll be more.

Very Cosy
I’ve left four stars because it was a well narrated cosy story. A little too cosy and drawn out for me but that’s just personal taste

Amazing
Absolutely brilliant, the way it is written had me in stitches. Reminded me of my nanna, the way the ladies speak and get muddled up. The narrator is wonderful. I am excited to listen to the next book now. 5*

So enjoyable, can't stop listening
This is the second of the books which have both had me hooked for the last few days. Brilliant entertainment with loads of twists and turns. Can't wait for the next one. I had thought from the beginning that I had worked it out but the various twists and turns made me doubt myself and the ending really made me doubt myself until the last chapter and my motive idea wasn't exactly as I thought! A really good read but better if you have read the first one which does alot of the foundation of setting up the main characters.
I highly rate the narrator (Zara Ramm) who, in my opinion is one of the best, even though after the Time Police and St Mary's series's by Jodi Taylor, took me a bit to adjust to.. I think she would take any story up a notch. Highly recommend.
