Summary

Natalie Long is missing. About to board a high-speed train from London’s Paddington station, she has vanished without a trace. Just two days earlier, things were so different.

One of eight candidates staying at an exclusive West London property, Natalie was competing for the chance of a lifetime - a career at one of the world’s most dynamic and mysterious companies, Brand New. For Detective Chief Inspector Paul Cullen of the British Transport Police, the case is personal. Natalie is good friends with his daughter, Amy, who is certain Natalie is in great danger. Something terrible did happen that weekend. And the time for answers is running out. But can DCI Cullen uncover the truth before it is too late?

You can't relax for a minute

You need to keep attention to the story. To each point of view so you don't miss any piece of information. Paul Pilkington follows a similar recipe in his stories. And they work. All the different pov's, the juning in the time line. Never a boring minute.

Love the narrator. He does an amazing jobb bringing Long Gone to life

Long gone

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Matt Jamie

What makes this story a compelling read and a little scary is the fact that this sort of thing can and does happen, the whole time you’re rooting for the main character to find the missing girl before it’s too late.

Just the right balance of tension, anxiety and unease to keep you invested till the very end.

Good narration.

The storyline development made the book a page turner gripping the reader

The plot and characters kept me listening to the audiobook throughout the day. Ian looking forward to reading the next book in the series, which sadly isn't in audiobook yet. The narrator is perfect for the characters.

Dreadful. Trite, poorly-written and performed.

Poor use of English in the text, written like a schoolkid's murder-mystery. Rangeless narrator. Awful. Time I will not get back.

What a let down

I found the narration odd and not enjoyable to listen to, I didn't feel the story hung together well, Disappointing.
