Because Paris is always a good idea...

Years ago, Juliet left a little piece of her heart in Paris - and now, separated from her husband and with her children flying the nest, it's time to get it back!

So she puts on her best red lipstick, books a cosy attic apartment near Notre-Dame and takes the next train out of London.

Arriving at the Gare du Nord, the memories come flooding back: bustling street cafés, cheap wine in candlelit bars and a handsome boy with glittering eyes.

But Juliet has also been keeping a secret for over two decades - and she begins to realise it's impossible to move forwards without first looking back.

Something tells her that the next thirty days might just change everything...

A nice middle aged story

This was really good, I was left guessing till the end of course and I’d recommend

Nice story, if a little dull

I love Emlia Fox however, her narration was so stiff. Her diction was perfection but far too pronounced for this particular story

Lovely!

Enjoyable story, didn’t love Emilia as a narrator, very stiff.. other than that it captivated me and whisked me into the joy of Paris!

Get lost in Paris & in this story

Beautiful descriptions of Paris, making you feel as if you’re there. Easy to get lost in the characters & the story. Brilliant narration. Could listen to Emila all day. Was disappointed when it ended!

A joy from start to finish.

Brilliant! Super escapism and a joy from start to finish. I wonder how many adventures this book will be a catalyst for?

Another Veronica triumph

Loved this book . Very attractive descriptions of Paris making me want to visit after 20 years of not being there. Story was lovely, but a little predictable but enjoyable nonetheless and I enjoyed listening. Not maybe one of Veronica’s best ones but still quality. Wasn’t keen on Emilia Fox’s narration. For an actress I would have expected a better performance from her…. Very flat and unemotional…. A better narration would have really lifted this lovely story.

A visit to Paris

Enjoyed visiting Paris for 30 days reflecting on my own pathway as a tourist and the naming of many sites equally as exciting through someone else’s eyes!!
The story was a twist and a test to one’s character ! Loved how people became brave and the return to Paris held its own !
