Introducing Richard Armitage, our star narrator
Richard is well-known for his array of film, television and theatre work, including The Hobbit, Spooks and The Crucible. His trademark baritone voice has earned him recognition, too, through his performance on many notable audiobooks as well as in TV and radio show narration. This experience shines through in Armitage's gripping performance of the Jackman and Evans series where he plays host to a plethora of characters.

Joy Ellis started her career as a flower seller in Mayfair in the 1960s, before going on to open her own florist in Surrey. When the recession hit, Joy had a career change and became a bookseller, and attended a writing course in Greece where she was mentored by Sue Townsend. She now lives in the Fens with her partner Jacqueline, where the flatlands and marshes provide inspiration for her eerie plotlines.

Clothes to die for.
DI Jackman and Marie Evans are still reeling from their encounter with madman Alistair Ashcroft, the serial killer who got away when a crime wave hits town. Can the crime fighting due restore order before its too late?
Whilst immersed in a steroid distribution investigation it comes to Rowans notice that the young men of his area are being targeted for their clothes and someone doesn't care who gets hurt in the process.The target is a highly sought-after and incredibly expensive brand of streetwear called Hybird X. Houses are burgled, kids mugged on the streets...and finally a young man dies, all for the sake of his shoes.
Could a shadowy figure called Darke and his team of young criminals be behind it all. Who is Darke and what does he really want? And can Rowan, Marie and the team stop him before anyone else gets hurt or killed.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this unputdownable Audible Plus book full of twists and turns which will grip you until it's shocking end. The narration by Richard Armitage was first class and the story compelling but there are scenes that some readers may find distressing. You've been warned..

Joy Ellis knocks it out of the park...again
this was another brilliant instalment of the Jackman and Evans series written by Joy Ellis and wonderfully narrated by Richard Armitage as always. I found the storyline addictive , always wanting the next chapter to find out more. Sadly while this is a work of fiction, some aspects are probably all too real and the last few chapters are harrowing. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Joy Ellis & Richard Armitage! Match made in heaven
I am addicted to DI Jackman and DS Evans. The stories are really gripping with some twists I haven't seen coming! i usually commend myself for realising what's going on pretty early. but not with these. Joy Ellis writes a great story and Richard Armitage performed it brilliantly. I always know what character is speaking and his pace is great! love these audio books.

Another riveting read
Another great Jackman and Evans problem to solve. A believable scenario with lots of loops to weave the web and keep you enthralled to the end.
Excellent performance from Richard Armytage too.

Unusual storyline but worth listening to
I was wary about reading this as I had not listened to the others in the series but managed to work out most back stories. Richard Armitage was a very good narrator. However, the editing was at fault in that there seemed to be no pauses between chapters leading to a lot of confusion as to who was talking!
