I’m an emotional wreck
I’ve loved every single one in the series so far, this one hit harder! I read / listened in one sitting unable to pause for a single moment, as in all the books before it I laughed and cried throughout, the characters in these books are so well written that the second you start the next book it’s like they are old friends back again and that is thanks to this incredible author, and fantastic narrator! I’m always excited for the next one by this author.
What an ending! And what an authors note!! I’m still crying
Alex Scarrow I am a huge fan of your work and i hope so much to see your next book! Sending you well wishes and love ❤️

Fantastic addition to the series
DCI Boyd has to investigate a very strange case when a couple of men win an auction for the contents of a storage locker (think Storage Hunters TV show!) and get more than they bargained for! In this book Boyd has a more settled home life with his partner, his pregnant daughter and two dogs. Unfortunately Boyd has a health scare and it becomes a very worrying time for them all. I admit to shedding a few tears, and then a few more as I listened to the author's notes at the end of the book. Bravo Alex Scarrow for writing this book during a very difficult period in your life,
I love this series, The stories are well written and interesting, and Boyd and his team are all great characters. They all feel like old friends now, especially Boyd and Okeke.
As always, brilliantly narrated by Aubrey Parsons.
