About this listen

It is 1906, and in New York City, the Italian crime group known as the Black Hand is on a spree: kidnapping, extortion, arson.

Detective Isaac Bell of the Van Dorn Agency is hired to form a special Black Hand Squad, but the gangsters appear to be everywhere - so much so that Bell begins to wonder if there are imitators, criminals using the name for the terror effect. And then the murders begin, each one of a man more powerful than the last, and, as Bell discovers to his dismay, the ultimate target may be the most powerful man of all.

Cussler does it again!

Absolutely brilliant book with the benefit of Brick's world class delivery.

My only issue is that it seemed too short and lacking in as much detail as the first couple of books.

Still, a brilliant and immersive treat.

The Gangster....

Another excellent Isaac Bell adventure, although I felt the story was a little weaker than some of the other books in the Bell series.
Still a very well written adventure, narrated beautifully by Scott Brick.
The Isaac Bell series are a fantastic collection of stories, and ones that you won't want to put down. Each are standalone, although better enjoyed in the series order, in my opinion.

You know where it's going

Classic Cussler the more of these I read the more they seem the same. This was OK but time to change the formula
