Summary

The Chameleon Project - a Black Operations unit led by Bruce McQuillian whose existence is known only to a handful of men.

When a corrupt politician with an appetite for preteen girls kidnapped and tortured while under his Unit's surveillance, McQuillian is left with a dilemma - what to do with the rogue commando responsible? As the stakes escalate, a sinister plot involving a triad of the Russian Bratva, an influential French arms dealer and one of the most powerful men within the British security services threatens to engulf the Isles. Could a man with an impulse for sadism and a 350-year-old ethos burnt within be the only man McQuillan can trust?

Great read. Exciting. I’m now hooked on this author

Instantly gripped by main characters and believable plots. Wonderful writing which kept me entertained from start to finish. Written at a perfect pace. Would recommend

Excellent story building up to a series

Excellent book but unnecessary parts not required that stopped it being top rated for me

The most convoluted plot

Sadly, this movie had the most ludicrous and convoluted plot. The narrator lacked a gift with creating voices, especially regional ones. At least it was free!

Enjoyed that- good story, well told

I enjoyed listening to this, not my usual genre, but very good. Good characterisation, good descriptions of action, and a reasonable level of detail in relation to all things, military, weapons and intelligence

One of the best lessons for awhile, and it was free. Bonus.

A great story and narrator

If you love a good escape into action packed, special ops and the spook world this ticks all boxes I’ll be looking out for the next one

An original book in a overcrowded area, refreshing 👍

Didn’t know what to think this would be like as it was free and most of those free books in this topic have been rubbish at best. This, on the other hand was refreshingly good. The protagonist is a royal marine and instead of making them out to be SAS level operatives it gave a realistic view of that type of military individual (although whilst Royals to go to Thailand in their spare time, not sure about bank robbery etc). The author, to my mind, was either a Bootneck or knew a few as he got things spot on. Decent narration with non-annoying accent changes (although he did decide to use a funny pronunciation of another name for a cat a few times!!!) I think the only thing that could have been watered down a bit was the graphic sex scenes (again was the author a Bootneck, if so…….) Anyway I shall be looking to see if there are anymore in this series as it has potential to be very good indeed. 👍👍
