Perfect litRPG adventure
Just perfect. If anything, it was way too short. I hope a book 2 releases soon

Great Series
I read these first and enjoyed the premise which although not new, kicked @ss as I loved the characters and the skill set. Having Campbell do the narration is good news as being a fan of his work, I always enjoyed his style, and this is no different. Luckily, the 2nd audio is ready, but I may have to wait a while for the 3rd, which will be my biggest cripe with this audio. If this is your first outing with Tanners work, then this is a great introduction, and I can't recommend this enough as being a big audio fan finding series to stay in my thoughts and be one I want to follow is hard. Hopefully, you also enjoy this as much as I did, I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts for everyone.

Can you save the world that burned?
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review
Genre: LitRPG fantasy
LitRPG system: Class and stat based. Classes have special abilities that rank up independent from stats.
Explicit/adult material: None.
Summary:
The world is ending. Sam watches it end powerless to save it, when he is suddenly sent back in town to remake his choices to help save his world from its terrible fate.
He is now once again an orphan at the bottom of society, but blessed with his memories and his class already unlocked (though once again level 1), he must figure out a way to leverage his knowledge to make the difference and save everyone.
Narrator
Voice diversity: Good, but dual narration would have allowed for even better diversity. Especially female voices become a bit similar.
Pacing and intonation: Extremely good. The atmosphere of the scenes are masterfully conveyed.
Overall: 4.5 / 5 stars.
The book’s strengths.
- Great narration
- The way the book deals with MC defeating enemies beyond his own power level works really well and doesn't feel forced.
- I like the way the story is told from changing perspectives.
The book’s weaknesses.
- Two characters, Toby and Alice are both quite annoying and play important roles. I hope and think that they both will grow into likeable and important characters. But the bad starting point feels too bad.
Overall: 4/5 stars
A good start to a new series and definitely also a book that can stand on its own.

Interesting but not amazing
A fairly enjoyable time travel story with a competent narrator where the protagonist must leverage his knowledge of the future disasters without changing enough to invalidate his information. Similar to others I have read, but a little to YA or anime tropey for my tastes.

a good start, with great potential
I was given this audiobook for free in a giveaway.
Okay, there is a lot I like about this, the idea of being given a second chance to help, to change the future, the MC Sam, he's somewhat smart, planning for everything ahead to attempt to change the future, his friend Clara and the guild master.
what I don't like, is Toby and his near illogical fear of everything in the world, from beasts in the wild, to food that he knows is good for him, to the air he breathes, now Toby does develop, I hope he continues to improve as time goes on in future novels.
the dialogue is very modern for a fantasy, but that doesn't bother me as this is a fantasy after all, there aren't rules that people must speak in old English in a medieval fantasy setting.
the princess is very annoying, but hopefully she will grow in the next novel. Also she and the MC "hate" each other.
I will listen to the next story, I feel this has potential to be a good story.

Good but not earth-shattering
It's a simple, well-written story with solid characters, a solid MC and an overall fairly straightforward plot.
Its well narrated and does not drag.

meh
to be honest if I was younger I think I would have liked this but to be honest it's very juvenile, magical world but main character is called Sam... got to chapter 47 and they'd only just gotten out of the white gate, both too slow paced and too fast paced
