Summary

The exciting new detective crime thriller

It doesn't matter how rich you are when death knocks at your door.

A killer stalks the streets of London, murdering the richest people in the capital. Is this the work of a serial killer, or just someone angry with the super rich? Or is there another reason why billionaires are being killed every three days?

Detective Inspector Simon Wise, reeling from the death of his partner and harbouring more than a few secrets of his own, is assigned to the case. But the killer leaves no clues as to their identity, only bodies in their wake, and each new death sends Wise's team in startling new directions.

As the pressure mounts on Wise to get a result, has he got what it takes to solve the case before the murderer strikes again?

Rich Men, Dead Men is the first book in the DI Simon Wise Crime Thriller series, set on the streets of London. If you like gripping police procedurals, complex characters, and shocking twists, then you’ll love Michael Dylan’s thrilling debut novel.

This gripping thriller is perfect for fans of Mark Billingham, Peter James, Joy Ellis, L.J. Ross, Alex Smith, and J.M. Dalgliesh.

Great Start of New Series.

A well written new detective series - hopefully the first of many instalments - especially if the inspector’s mood is less morose in the next ones.
Excellent narration too!
Look forward to the next book.

Just loved roller coaster of a listen

This was a great listen and it become addictive working out who was going to get killed next and why. The narration really suited it.

Can see the being made into series as it is that descriptive.
One bug bear of mine whilst listening to good narration (ie the characters are differentiated) is the use of the word 'said' at the beginning of the book there was a lot of that - but I didnt notice it after a while.

Excellent

This is an excellent start to a new series and I cannot wait to read/listen to the next book. Cracking plot with good characters and expertly narrated by Colin Mace. Highly recommend.
No spoilers …. but ooh I correctly guessed something…. cannot say anything else. You’ll have to read/listen and find out for yourself. Enjoy!

A standout piece of crime fiction.

A standout piece of crime fiction with interesting characters and plenty of twisty mystery. The narration by Colin Mace is brilliant.

A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

Excellent story

I really, really enjoyed this book. An immediate empathy and liking for the main character. A very exciting journey. I did guess who it was very quickly and was satisfied that I was right! The narrator is brilliant. He has such a wonderful voice and really expresses everyone’s feelings brilliantly. Very much looking forward to the next story.

Excellent thriller excellently narrated.

I am an avid fan of Colin Mace's narration, therefore whatever the book, if he is narrating I'll give it a go. I was not disappointed here. Of course there are the usual repetitive cliched parts inserted in all books of this ilk, eg not enough progress on the case so the DI is stood down in favour of an ******** The lead investigator who puts his marriage at risk in favour of the case, the mandatory lesbian/gay..........booooring. That said, I have awarded 5* because I found it an unputdownable book. Awaiting the second in the series with bated breath.
