"Jennifer L. Armentrout is a master of weaving rich contemporary realism with magic and mayhem. Her characters will grab hold of your heart and refuse to let go. Every page left me wanting more." (New York Times best-selling author Brigid Kemmerer)

Book Two in the New York Times Best-Selling Harbinger Series

Half-angel Trinity and her bonded gargoyle protector, Zayne, have been working with demons to stop the apocalypse while avoiding falling in love. The Harbinger is coming…but who or what is it? All of humankind may fall if Trinity and Zayne can’t win the race against time as sinister forces gather.

As tensions rise, they must stay close together and patrol the DC streets at night, seeking signs of the Harbinger, an entity that is killing Wardens and demons with no seeming rhyme or reason. But as deaths pile up and they uncover a plot endangering someone dear to Zayne, Trin realizes she is being led…herded…played for some unknown end. As anger builds and feelings spiral out of control, it becomes clear that rage may be the ruin of them all.

Smashed it again

Wow, I really didn’t expect the book to take the twists and turns that it did. I loved the elements series and wasn’t a huge fan of Zayne, I was team Roth all the way but now I think this series is turning out to be just as good or maybe better. I love that Roth, Layla and Cayman are all in it and not just one quick visit and that’s it. I don’t like how Roth’s voice is portrayed it’s quite creepy at times but other than that it’s excellent. I also love that we got to find out a bit more about what happened to Sam. Excellent series and I really hope we don’t have to wait a year for book 3 🙏🏻🤞

Epic set up for book 3

OMG my heart!!! I can’t believe what has just been set up for book 3!! Can’t wait! June is not that far off so I will have to be patient.
Brilliant second instalment in the series. This starts off where we left off and Zayne is now Trins bonded protector. Only issue is it’s against the rules for them to be together. They spend most of this book fighting the attraction they have for each other and it’s so well written you really feel it in your heart. Like the first book I listened to the audio version and was blown away by how good the narration was at bringing these characters to life but especially Trin who was witty, back chatty and super sassy. I was delighted when we got more Roth and Layla although there was just not enough Bambi lol! For me there can never be enough of that loveable snake! Brilliant from start to finish!! 5/5 top marks.

Very teenage but engrossing

So this series does have a very teenage spin, a lot of mooning after the boy, his hair, his smell (I never need to hear the phrase winter mint again). However, the narrator is top notch and it is still very engaging. The world building is interesting, the supporting characters add a bit of humour and overall you feel invested in the outcome of their trials and tribulations. Read this pretty quickly and I'm on to book three!

Superb as always.

Love these books. The narration is brilliant and the story keeps you gripped until the end. Then you have to get the next book.
Trinity has the same eye disease as jennifer herself and it really opens your eyes to how much it affects sufferers. Trinity, Zayne, Roth and Leila have to work together to stop Gabriel from ending the world as we know it. Not going to give any more away. Read or listen to the series. You'll love it.

Entertaining but cringe

I feel like the maturity needed for the x-rated scenes in these books just clashes with the immaturity of the characters. The main character acts like I imagine a 14 year old to and speaks like one too. Maybe even younger in this day and age. A lot of the back and forth conversation was too obvious and corny - I found myself asking “why?????” A lot .

Overall - Entertaining enough to get through in a day but I won’t be sharing it with my friends any time soon.
