"Fourth Wing will have your heart pounding from beginning to end ... A fantasy like you've never read before."—Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros.

Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.

But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away … because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.

She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.

Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.

Addicting

I loved this book deeply. The pacing, the world, the characters. I CRAVE the sequel. Something the author did really good is how the story took place during a longer time span without making any part of the book -feel- slow or too quick.

Now, the downside.
The narrator have an amazing voice so suitable for this story, but holy shit one can hear how sick she is especially in the beginning of this book. There's alot of ambience noise accidentally left in the audibook, like setting a cup on the table etc. And sometimes there's this random person (or is it the same narrator without a cold?) that just cuts in with a sentence or word. Throws me out of the immersion instantly. I hope they keep the narrator because I love her voice, but I hope for better editing and maybe not record with a cold..

Fabulous book

A great example of an adult fantasy novel with a gripping plot and excellent world building! Chemistry between characters was fantastic, voice of second narrator at the end, however, was a dubious choice! That said, I have read Fourth Wing twice in the past month which is a first for me in my 25 years of avid reading!

Wow.

I finished this book and all I could do was stare blankly at the wall because of the twist at the end. Get me the second book now.

Gripping story brought to life!

This is a fantastic book. And the narrator tells it with such enthusiasm I feel like I have lived it! Honestly I wish I waited to listen to this until the next book comes out as I’m now left wondering what to do while we wait!

Absolutely brilliant *****

Absolutely brilliant, such a gripping story, was surprised how good it got, every emotion, I laughed, I cried, and can’t wait for the next one, The only fault was Teddy’s voice wasn’t the Zayden I had built in my mind, but on the second listening I got over it! I had to listen to it twice. Loved it 🫶

A thrilling fantasy

Thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced storyline. The action scenes were narrated with firey pace. An enjoyable read from start to finish. The end caught me off guard and I couldn't believe that was it. Will need a sequel!

BRING ON BOOK 2!!! <3

Wow!!! What a rollercoaster of emotions this book brings! It’s been a long time since a book has gripped me this hard. 3 days and I have finished it! I could have done it in 2 but I wanted to make it stretch out longer because I was not ready for it to end. The character development is incredible, I love everything about the dragons and relationships. The hardships they all go through daily, the struggle. The heartbreak and spice scenes are right up there! Couldn’t recommend this anymore! If you are an ACOTAR/TOG/FBAA fan, I feel this is a great world to enter too! Epic!!! Both VA’s were exceptional. It was actually looking for more books narrated by Hamilton that set me in the path of this book and it also introduced me to Rebecca Soler who I adored! The way she actually brings real feelings to each character is exceptional just like a teddy! 10/10 <3
