About this listen
In a world of titans, where martial artists reign supreme, Roy is wholly unremarkable. Without the power to channel the essence of the world, he is weak and defenseless.
Adopted into the Shah clan after his parents' deaths, he is forced to do menial labor day after day, all while enduring the ridicule and physical abuse of his supposed family.
Weakness is punishable by death in Buryoku and in the Shah clan, there is no one weaker than Roy. But even the weak can rise up, when pushed to the brink....

disappointing narration
Loved the books so got this, but ive never had to slow the speed down before to understand what's being said so that was new, really disappointing however the story is great and this obstacle is worth over coming, I regret avoiding this audio for so long because of its unfathomablity and hopefully with this small tip you'll aviod the issues I suffered, at 0.9 it's a lot clearer, to be honest I found at this speed the performance was pretty good as well, I attempted to listen to this multiple times and constantly found I was missing bits and it was so frustrating when comparing to the book since I was unable to read when i was listening but stopping and rewinding was almost as distracting as trying to read it anyway and it's never been something I've struggled with audios before so it's definitely a negative but I hope anyone else who's had a similar issue and like me has never had to deal with it previously finds this helpful, it's easily combatable if a bit of a nuisance

Interesting start to this series
While I enjoyed the focus in this book on cultivation being the method of progression rather than it being a side element alongside regular levelling as is more often the case in more mainstream gamelit, some of the story felt a little too heavy-handed such as at the start where it seemed like the author was trying to build the connection between the reader and the main character simply by making everyone else so completely unlikable more than by making the main character grab the reader more readily. One aspect of the story that I thought worked particularly well was how readily the author expanded the book's world with both the reader and the main character rapidly learning how small the initial world and people actually were.
The narrator's performance was a pleasant and clear one, with all the main characters having suitably distinctive tones that served to enhance the story and my enjoyment of it very well.
Overall, an interesting and fairly strong start to the series and I will be interested to see how it progresses from here.

So bad and generic
This is like a train with random events with no goal. One could almost belive its written by a really stupid AI, with how badly the events is coming. Maybe also not the right voice for a Young mans Journey.
Its not OP character story its weak@& story.
