About this listen
Do you want to improve asthma symptoms, tackle chronic pain, or live without repercussions of long COVID? Then the deep breathwork techniques included within this book might be the simple answer for you.
About 12 percent of the population in the United Kingdom suffers from asthma, along with about 300 million worldwide and 20 million in the USA. Due to inflammation, the muscles around air passages put pressure on the small airways, causing shortness of breath, coughing, and tightness in the chest. The triggers for these symptoms vary depending on the individual, and they can significantly impact the severity of asthma symptoms. In this book, you will discover the many benefits of regular breathwork practice, to improve lung health, ease your shortness of breath, but also more widely to overcome pain and have a more compassionate self-perception with better mental health and self-awareness. Breathing retraining programs not only alleviate asthma symptoms but also improve the overall quality of life of patients.
The added benefit of these programs included within each chapter, as with all breathwork techniques, is that they can be delivered through self-guided digital audio, which helps people take control of their breathing patterns in the comfort of their homes. We will help you get started with some simple breathing techniques so you can get the benefits and confidently get your breathing under control, to start living the life you imagine.
This book will prove that we can ultimately change our well-being and state of health and mind by learning how to manipulate our breath.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Simple yet so useful
You never imagine that you need to be taught how to breathe until you do. If like me you have had to deal with asthma, you know how that can be a task sometimes. Here, I was able to get some exercises that reduce the number of breaths I take and keep my airways open longer so that more air is able to flow in and out of the lungs. I didn't even know that was possible. This book is incredible!

Various Benefits to Breathwork
I never realized there were so many benefits to practicing various breathing exercises like better mental health, improved blood pressure, and clearing toxic mucus. I think this is important. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this audiobook as it is very well narrated and the guided breathing exercises are easy to follow.

Such a calming & healing listen
I was coughing for months after having covid for the second time and was so exhausted from the physical strain and fatigue that it brought on. I could feel my lungs being constricted and even though I tried deep breathing, I wasn't very consistent and didn't really know what I was doing. I tried some of the asthma exercises first and was already sold, even though the most beneficial for me have been linked to recovering from long-covid.
If anything, this listen is deeply calming and encouraged me to focus on my breath for prolonged periods of time. This left me feeling peaceful!
Healing, calming, and grounding - this book has it all. A lovely one to keep at the top of your list!

Take A Breathe!
I was fortunate enough to grow out of my asthma when I was around ten because of sports activities involving running, like baseball. Listening to this audiobook, I reflect on the breathing activities my coach had me do when I first began playing baseball. The coach had us do relaxation exercises to improve our breathing and concentration on the stretching exercises before practice and games. This audiobook helps correct breathing that can help a person recover from the long COVID-19 virus. Breathing exercises will force air into the lower regions of your body and the bloodstream. Breathing exercises are different yet similar to other meditation methods. I practice these exercises in the morning before work and wind down before bed at night.

Good breathing exercises
Great breathing exercises for people suffering from lung diseases like COPD, asthma, post-COVID lung disease, etc. I have been regularly doing some of the breathing exercises outlined (Papworth method and alternate nasal breathing) since childhood as part of my yoga and know its benefits. Definitely recommend for patients with lung diseases.

Informative and Helpful!
This is such a helpful audiobook! My siblings and I have had asthma all of our lives. Some worse than others, and after doing some of these techniques today I noticed a strong difference in my breathing. Sometimes when I laugh too hard my asthma can flare up. However, after listening to this audiobook and using the strategies given I noticed that my asthma doesn't flare up as much. Keep up with these exercises and you'll notice the results!
