About this listen
Don't be distracted. Trust the Quest. Kill your target.
Ten years ago, the world changed. The System brought dungeons and monsters to earth. Billions were lost.
While most try to rebuild, Claire chooses to take revenge on the people who took advantage of orphans in the chaos—100 names, 100 targets.
In this often brutal story about a world in chaos, Claire will kill every target on her list. No matter what it takes.
Apocalypse Assassin takes the listener through an alternate world where people delve into dungeons to grow stronger, Skills bring magic to life, and the world rebuilds.
All while Claire kills anyone whose name appears on her list.
About the series: System Orphans is set in a post-apocalypse fantasy and LitRPG world where each story will follow a different orphan in their altered environment. Claire's story, which will be written over at least three books, is the first in this elegant yet brutal fantasy. With magic, dungeons, and twists you didn't see coming, you're likely to love, or love to hate, this killer teenager.
Claire's story is inspired by movies like Red Sparrow and John Wick, while drawing inspiration from LitRPGs such as System Apocalypse by Tao Wong and Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman.
The series is recommended for young adults and older, since it includes excessive language, brutal fights, and a great deal of death. The series will have no sexual or sexualized content.

Interesting take on the introduction of a system
This was a great story that kept you wanting to learn more about the world and system that was introduced and the fall out from it. Great skills for the MC and a compelling plot. Looking forwards to the next book.

Engaging, amusing, and relatable
This book isn't going to redefine the genre. This is archetypal LitRPG and if that's your thing you'll love this. I almost want to say post-apocalyptic litrpg throne of glass but there is far more to it than that. What really sold me is how well the author understands people. There's an apocalypse and the very laws of existence change? of course people are going to protest about it!

Exciting start to new series
This is an excellent exciting start to a new series, which unlike other series doesn’t have the system seamlessly fit into the world but shows the issues would happen if a LitRPG system was brought into the world and how it would develop. The main character is intriguing and develops during the book, and the introduction of the other characters in the story add to the depths. The narrator does a great job bringing the various characters to life. Excellent story and cannot wait for a sequel

Compelling storyline
I loved this story, it was extremely well done and not quite like any other LitRPG I've ever read before. The narration is also on point.

Such a suspenseful and unique experience!
I have received this free copy for an honest review. This was an awesome book that really kept me on my toes all the time. The flashback experience was unique and i triguing, I get too nervous with so much suspense but man was it a thrill. And the story of claire really makes you feel for her and want her to succeed but also redeem. I can't wait for the next and see her grow even more! The narration was great so clear and easy to understand and full of personality for each character!
