Summary
DI Gravel and his daughter, Emily, are oblivious to the terrible danger she is in when she accepts a job working for the solicitor Charles Turner.
Meanwhile, Gravel is on the hunt for a serial killer. And when Emily becomes the killer’s latest obsession, the murderer will stop at nothing to make his grotesque fantasies reality. But as further bodies are discovered, the killer seeks to befriend DI Gravel and misdirect his investigation.
How can you catch a killer who is hiding in plain sight? Can DI Gravel and Emily come away from this case with both their lives intact?

Excellent narration!
I thought the actor really brought the book to life. His voice and presentation were perfect for the book.

Great story ruined by the narrator
Having read and listens via audible to many of the authors books I was very eager to spend time with this offering. I cannot explain my disappointment by how much this story was ruined by the worst narration I’ve experienced in any of the audible books I’ve listened to. I’m an almost evangelical user of the audible package and like nothing more than disappearing into a good book on long drives, my daily commute and generally when I’m out and about in city and countryside; however, on this occasion I found the listening experience frustrating and at times confusing by the poor standard of the delivery and his apparent lack in comprehending what punctuation marks in the text actually mean to the listener. The pace of the read was monotonous and unlike normal speech, best evidenced by me at times developing a form of read-rage, and expressing my frustrations out loud (in the privacy of my VW Tiguan). I stuck with the book only because of my want to hear the final twist in the tale the author normally provides, but sorry to say that the next edition will only be purchased for the Kindle if the audible version is afflicted by the same narrator. Please audible take heed and don’t let another book be spoiled. This is my first written review.

Shocking narrator
Wow, this has to have been the most shocking narration I have heard. I found myself getting so frustrated. It has totally spoilt the book. So monotone and it doesn’t flow at all. There was no passion in ti.
