Many of us are battling depression, anxiety, mental illness, or personality disorders. We feel anxious, frustrated, and overwhelmed. We don't have the support systems to help lift us up and to help us cope with the stressors of daily life. We want to make things better for ourselves, but we may be at a loss as to how to do so. One of the first steps in fixing your life and your anxiety is to learn how to regulate your emotions. Our emotions cause us to feel out of control sometimes.

Many people are in the midst of a high conflict court and custody battle with a narcissist. They begin to experience the narcissist’s gas-lighting and wrath in many ways. Not only do they experience this, however. They find that their child is the victim of gaslighting and brainwashing also. The non-narcissist doesn’t realize that the other parent brainwashes the child and triangulates the child against them. Eventually, the child begins to detest and hate the non-narcissistic parent.The non-narcissistic parent never knows what they did wrong to deserve their own child hating them.

Many listeners email me each day. They typically have problems with the men in their lives. The truth that most of them don't realize is that their emotionally unavailable man or narcissistic man has an undiagnosed syndrome, complex, or disorder. We have all met men who have the Peter Pan syndrome. Many of these men are also narcissistic and self-absorbed simply by the nature of the Peter Pan syndrome. A man who is stuck in his path through life as a boy never matures emotionally. He carries around his childhood sense of himself throughout his life. In many instances, his tastes do not grow or change. The way that he interacts with others does not grow or change. He is still stuck as a 12-year-old boy, or sometimes even younger, in his emotional development.

Many little girls grow up wanting to marry their daddy at some point in their childhood development. It is a natural part of life and of family. We see the affection between our parents, and we want to mimic the closeness and the relationship that is a bond between two partners. It promotes healthy sexual development in our children, so that they will be able to choose a partner later in life. Mimicking the behavior of other humans is the way that we learn how and what is appropriate in our culture and in our society.

Many people think they know what they are doing when they go up against someone else in court. But do you really know what you are getting yourself into? The narcissist values popularity, status, money, power, resources, and false image. Many court personnel also subscribe to these same priorities in their life, and if you weren’t successful in dealing with one narcissist - you surely won’t be able to cope with the lawyer team that your narcissist hired to antagonize you.

In pursuing relationships with narcissists, we are often wrapped up in their tornadoes of manipulation, lies, and drama. Many women find it exciting and exhilarating to be with someone who is so erratic, eccentric, and seemingly unstable. These same women claim to feel dead inside if they meet "boring" and normal guys who can be there for them on a consistent basis.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is known to be a condition in which people usually have hypermobile joints and stretchy skin. This is what physicians generally look for when they are considering EDS diagnoses. The truth is that EDS can present in many different ways. There are many different types and forms of EDS, and they affect very different parts of a person's body. A physician who looks for only two signs is missing the big picture of the family history and the patient's symptoms in relation to an EDS diagnosis.

Asperger's Syndrome, or high-functioning autism, is a form of autism that falls on the autism spectrum. Asperger's Syndrome can be seen in adults and in children if you know what to look for. Many people who can be described as hypersensitive, odd or eccentric have Asperger's Syndrome which has gone undiagnosed. Some of the greatest comedians, singers, actors and inventors have Asperger's syndrome. They specialize in what they are good at, and they can become highly successful in doing so.

The narcissist is a force to be reckoned with. He has a nihilistic view of the world. He views his life as pointless. He has no religion, and most narcissists will actively consider themselves as being agnostic or atheistic. He has no guided purpose in his life. He is bored and listless. The only thing that gives a narcissist real pleasure is seeing other people in emotional pain, confusion, and suffering at his hands.

Many people have grown up in broken homes. They often wonder for many years what went wrong. They don't feel like their childhood was happy, but they can't quite put their finger on what had caused the discontent. The children often grow up blaming themselves for everything that went wrong at home. However, this is far from the truth. Many people find out much later that it was really a narcissistic father that was at the root of all of the family's problems.

In most things, how much participation you put in matters. In court, however, being overly involved in the court proceedings, giving the court too much information to look over, tampering too much in what the lawyers are negotiating, and acting as an authority in front of the judge will get you into hot water. Anxiety can escalate to another level. When a person is exposed to traumatic or negative events where they feel little or no control in the outcome, the anxiety can turn into post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If you have enough recurring events in your life that are traumatic, you may even be diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD).

The narcissist is a character in his own story. He employs the tactic of foreshadowing throughout his storytelling. He is omnipresent and omnipotent. He detests and resents anyone who paints the story for him, and thus he seeks to tell the story even in advance of itself. He wants to be the director, the storyteller, the adversary, and the hero. He narrates his life and his intentions so that he doesn't feel as though anyone else has a say over what will happen to him.
