About this listen
When Anne Boleyn is thrown into the world of the court, her aim is to survive with her reputation intact. But when the eye of, first, a nobleman, and then, King Henry himself falls upon her, her beauty will only get her so far. If Anne wants to succeed in the vicious game of court politics, she must use all of her wit and cunning, and she cannot risk falling in love with a man she cannot predict.

Enchanting
A brilliant historical view on Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII written in a new perspective by the author. Recommended.

Captivating read
A thoroughly enjoyable listen, this story manages to capture the emotional struggles of some of the most famous people in our monarchical and political history. The beautiful narration really puts you in amongst the characters. Highly recommend.

Couldn't stop listening!
Emma Fenton's take on Anne Boleyn, a character we've heard so much of before, is fresh and enchanting. Claire Howes' light, bright narration keeps the listener engaged and makes you want to keep listening for hours. She moves effortlessly between the characters voices whilst keeping Anne at the centre and gives great colour to the Tudor setting of the novel. Would recommend to anyone who loves the Tudor Period but would like to hear it retold.

Terrible narrator!
The pronunciation is so bad that I wonder if there was an editor. She gets names and titles so wrong it’s cringeworthy. The book is fine but the bad bad bad narration takes away from it. It’s hard to believe that English is the first language of Claire Howes. I’ll make sure not to get another book read by this person.

Absolutely awful
One of the most inaccurate books on Anne Boleyn that I have ever read, total waste of money
