About this listen

Anne is a young 21st-century woman in the midst of a lifelong love affair with the 16th-century and the enigmatic Anne Boleyn. While indulging her secret passion on an exclusive "Anne Boleyn Connoisseurs' Weekend", she is taken seriously ill at Hever Castle. Falling into a deep state of unconsciousness, Anne becomes ensnared in a time portal that transports her back in time to England, 1527. She awakens to find herself in the body of her heroine, Anne Boleyn; at the time, a young woman on the brink of a historic love affair with the mighty King Henry VIII. Anne finds herself at the center of Henry's world yet increasingly vulnerable as the figurehead of the emerging and evermore powerful Boleyn faction. While she learns what it is to walk in the footsteps of the woman who would change English history, she is also engulfed in mixed emotions and only too aware of how her relationship with Henry mirrors that of her 21st-century relationship with Dan, her married lover.

Soon, Anne begins to lose her own sense of identity as the boundaries between the two women begin to blur. As she is sucked back and forth between her two great loves and two increasingly fragile lives, Anne struggles to change her heroine's terrible fate on the scaffold while trying to prevent her own modern-day life hurtling inextricably toward disaster.

Le Temps Viendra: A Novel of Anne Boleyn is a timeless story of passion, ambition, and betrayal; it is also an enduring story of an intense love forged between two souls who are bound together for all eternity.

Le Temps Viendra

I throughly enjoyed this book as it offered an interesting twist to a well known subject , the life of Anne Boleyn . cleverly dividing the tale between modern day and the 16th C.
The narrator is the authoress herself so we get an accurate portrayal of how she wants us to see this story unfold .
I especially liked the detailed descriptions of places , people and various historical objects . This subject has obviously well researched and allows the listener to imagine being there .
I’m looking forward to the second book and although I know Queen Anne’s end I’m intrigued to know what happens to 20th C Anne

An enthralling read

As a Tudor Historian myself, I thoroughly enjoyed this captivatingly enthralling story that lures you back to 16th century Hever Castle and you yourself become Anne Boleyn, as Sarah has written it so well. Looking forward to listening to Part Two!

Brilliant! Just brilliant.

Narrated by the author (the lovely Sarah Morris) this time skip novel of Anne Boleyn places you completely in the heart of Henry VIII England. You get to enjoy a full sensory experience as Sarah describes not only in visual detail but food, smells, fabrics, lost buildings etc. you feel like you are there.

This is an emotional tale of Anne Boleyn’s early years with Henry and is thoroughly brilliant. Cannot wait for part 2.

Loved it !

Waited with anticipation for this book to come out on Audible and I wasn’t disappointed.
This is a story of time travel with the lives of a 21st century Anne entwined with our 16th century Anne Boleyn, woven together with very well researched facts from what we know of Tudor and present day England. I love the extra descriptive detail that is often lacking in historical fiction that transported me to that time as well as evoking my own memories of places such as the beautiful Hever castle, St.Peters Church, Hampton Court Palace, Greenwich, the 2009 The Man and Monarch exhibition and more!
Weaving together a story of time travel can’t be easy but Sarah Morris has done it really well.
If you truly want to imagine Anne Boleyn and Henry Vlll’s tempestuous love affair then look no further.....Thank you Sarah. I can’t wait for volume II .

Sadly indulgent

Just annoyingly indulgent. Narrator bland. A chore to complete. I will not read second book.

struggled to read

Disappointed. I didn't warm to the writing style, and found it overly descriptive.
I think its always a challenge reading a book written in the first person as the writers assumptions both regarding thoughts and emotions can be romanticised.
