A great story with intricacies and fun

i was listening to this story whilst doing my embroidery. My husband came in to the room and started laughing in the right places. We ended up listening for the evening, the tv was quite and black in the corner.

A good read

Where does This Charming Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've only read I few so far but I did enjoy it

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked them all but Lola was my favourite as her story was quite upsetting but uplifting at the end and she was also funny - you could relate to her.

Have you listened to any of Niamh Daly’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, but I liked her performance it brought the story to life.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes it made me laugh and cry! Poignant and uplifting, thought provoking and numerous, just the right balance!

Any additional comments?

This book would be a nice holiday read in my opinion. The style of writing was hard to get used to at first but then it started to make more sense as the story went on.

Excellent story , good voice for listening o

This was a really good and interesting story which was well. Paced and kept you interested.
The only thing which spoiled the narrator is the fact that a large part of the story uses incorrect grammar / leaving out pronouns . This did irritate me to be honest and spoiled the enjoyment. I can’t remember this being on other books by this author so hope feedback may help. Otherwise excellent listen.

Not great!

I normally love Marion Keyes but this was not good and I eventually gave up as I was so bored! Shame really. Plot was good but was too over the top about fashion and what people are wearing, and that age old problem, I do not like the characters, they don't seem like nice people. You would like this book if you are an Irish Fashion Editor. Otherwise skip it.
