My god .. what a rollercoaster
I do not know what Simon in trying to do to his readers , but my goodness .. I had my heart in my mouth through 90% of that and when you thought you could relax , he puts another heart in mouth situation and then another .. absolutely fantastic listen .. Think I need to take a lie down now and try calm my nerves down .. Very much highly recommended

Did somebody else write this?
Read like one of the Winter series books ( Alex Callister ) totally over the top, unrealistic unbelievable. I've read all the books up to this point, which have been very good. I really don't understand what happened with book 6.
My only real criticism with the whole series up to now is the missing partner. Whenever the missing partner comes into the story the book goes right off track. The story don't need this, they are good enough without a secondary plot going on in the background. I will start Book 7 and hope it's more on the lines of the first 5 books.

Action packed story!
So glad that the Sarah story line didn’t focus so much this time.

What the heck?
Book 6 in a series of police procedurals turns out to be an action thriller with precious little procedure and some obvious plot holes.
But, it is not all different. As usual, there is a car crash/near-crash due to another vehicle pulling out from a turning (how do Welsh drivers get a license?) and the "Sarah" story-arc moves forward a little.
