About this listen
From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Meghan Quinn, comes a new marriage of convenience romantic comedy. This steamy, laugh out loud, enemies-to-lovers small town standalone delivers the perfect happily ever after.
He proposed . . . and I said yes.
Normally a jovial occasion for a couple in love, but this proposal has a very different feel.
Because the man that I'll be calling my husband blew into town with one thing on his mind . . . to make my life a living nightmare.
So why did I say yes?
Well, because we both need something from each other.
Namely, I want the farm land he currently owns, and he needs a wife in order to inherit his family cabin in his grandfather’s will.
So as he so eloquently put it, my hand, for his land.
At first, I thought the idea was nuts.
Who really gets married out of convenience?
Apparently, I do.
And now we have to sell our relationship to the town. Meaning, we're holding hands, he's pinching my cheeks . . . upper and lower. We're even forced to share the one-bedroom guest house on the farm where his monstrous body is taking up a large percentage of the bed.
But we’re so persuasive about our farse, that now I’m starting to think he actually might like me. Especially when he grabs me by the wrist and teases the shell of my ear as he whispers, “Mine.”

Small town enemies to lovers rom com
Oh my gosh! I just loved this fake relationship rom com. The audio version is narrated by Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock, and let me tell you…. They are the perfect Aubrey and Wyatt, they relate every emotion - good, bad, funny, angry and disgusted with utter perfection. They made me laugh out loud, and had me fully invested in the story, a big thank you for that Stella and Aaron. Now to the story - one word - perfect. I enjoyed every minute of it. Aubrey is the grumpy commitment phobe, not letting anyone see her vulnerable side (after all she’s been hurt before and doesn’t ever want to be put in that position again). Wyatt is the fun loving, tactile, risk taker (to a degree - because he too has been hurt before). Together they were so very believable in every way. I just wished they believed in themselves. So many emotions towards the end.
This is a standalone romantic comedy in the world of - The Way I Hate Him - if you loved that, you’ll definitely love this. I was so excited to see more of this wonderful town and all the people in it. I received a complementary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest review.

Yes yes yes!!
Get ready to fall head over heels for this heartwarming tale of love, growth, and a pinch of sizzle! The Reason I Married Him is a slow-burning, small-town romantic comedy that will have you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
The audiobook version, narrated by the dreamy duo of Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter, is like a love potion for your ears. They bring to life the charming world of Almond Bay, where we follow Aubree, the guarded sister who runs her family's farm with ironclad determination. Enter Wyatt, the golden retriever of men, who needs to get his life back on track after a disastrous wedding day. When Wyatt proposes a marriage of convenience to Aubree, she's wary, but as they spend more time together, sparks begin to fly.
The character development is top-notch, and the slow pace of the story allows for a deep dive into Aubree and Wyatt's personalities. The small-town setting is charming, and the supporting cast of characters feels like old friends you can't wait to catch up with. As Aubree and Wyatt's relationship deepens, the banter, cuddles, and steamy moments will have you rooting for them all the way.
Overall, The Reason I Married Him is a delightful journey towards love and partnership, filled with heart, wit, and just the right amount of steam. Get ready to be swept away by this enchanting tale!

Marriage of convenience and small town brilliance
The Reason I Married Him, is another fantastic listen from Meghan. Stella and Aaron did a fantastic job telling Wyatt & Aubrey's story. Both MC's are really likeable characters and I love how Aubrey warmed up to Wyatt's charm. The story is a marriage on convenience mixed with small town vibes and it blends perfectly. I adore the Almond Bay world and of course Meghan threw a few nods in there as Easter Eggs for her long time fans too.
The reason I married him had a great mix of romance, humour, spice and originality to keep you engaged from start to finish!

Hilariously entertaining & steamy!
Loved this! Had loads of laugh out loud moments, liked both the readers and the fact they both participated in all the chapters. Storyline was super entertaining and not nearly as cheesy or insecure as is often the case. Well written and well performed - I highly recommend!!

Wyatt and Aubree!
Wyatt is still trying to deal with the aftermath of not only the end of the engagement but the way it happened. When faced with the thought of losing the cabin that holds so many special memories with his grandfather he comes up with the perfect plan. He now finds himself in Almond Bay trying to convince Aubree to marry him for a year so he can have the cabin and in return he will give her his half of her family’s farm.
After the passing of her sister Aubree is determined to honor her by ensuring her dreams when it comes to the farm are realized. She has trust issues when it comes to men and doesn’t allow many people close so the last thing she need is Wyatt coming into her life however the ends might justify the means.
Neither was looking for love or a relationship, but their hearts didn’t agree. He is patient and understanding as he shows her there is so much more to life than the way she has been living it so even though there was turmoil to overcome he proves that he is the man she can count on to always be there for her. Hearing the audio version of this story only enhanced the humorous banter and all the emotions that this story holds.

I really enjoyed this. It had everything I wanted. Small town, check. Banter for days, check. Grumpy x sunshine, always check. Plus that extra bit of magic that is unique to this author and you have a massive hit on your hands.

Fun and Heartwarming!
This is a great small town marriage of convenience romantic comedy. Aubree and Wyatt’s story is fun, entertaining, and heartwarming. Wyatt is such a sweet man, sunshine, easygoing, and charmer. I liked his determination. Aubree is grumpy, and cautious. They are opposites attract, and they are perfect for each other. I liked the banter, and the humor in the story. Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it.

Aubree & Wyatt
How much fun is this book? If you are looking for laughter and all the feels, you have found the right story. Meghan Quinn continues her small town romance with Aubree and Wyatt. Aubree is determined to keep the farm going as her late sister, Cassidy would want it. Helping out with her niece too, she has little time for herself and is struggling to keep up. Wyatt comes to town, the half owner of her farm and right away, he is packed full of suggestions. Aubree doesn't know he has an ulterior motive, and when he offers her a marriage of convenience in exchange for his half of the farm, she finds it the best way to earn the entire parcel. But with this deal, they must show that they are together and in love. Will they pull it off? Will the reason why Wyatt wants this come to fruition? Secrets are kept, feelings are growing and get hurt, and the farm and store is moving along. How does it all come out? Quinn with her humor and feelings kept me engaged with this book, bringing back characters I loved and keeping the charm of the small town in my heart. It's a fabulous story that had me laughing and tearing up! It's the best kind of listen and a book that will be loved.
And who better to bring it all to life? The team of two of my favorites, Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter, in duet narration, are Wyatt and Aubree. These two are perfectly cast, and find every facet of their characters. Shedlock is charming as Wyatt, trying to use his wiles to win over Aubree's heart. Hunter keeps Aubree's heart at arm's length, with that feeling of listening with her head and not her heart until she breaks! It's the best kind of listen and a performance that will be remembered.
