Summary

This book is about the great moral issues underlying many of the headline-making political controversies of our times. It is not a comforting book but a book about disturbing and dangerous trends. The Quest for Cosmic Justice shows how confused conceptions of justice end up promoting injustice, how confused conceptions of equality end up promoting inequality, and how the tyranny of social visions prevents many people from confronting the actual consequences of their own beliefs and policies. Those consequences include the steady and dangerous erosion of fundamental principles of freedom - amounting to a quiet repeal of the American revolution. The Quest for Cosmic Justice is the summation of a lifetime of study and thought about where we as a society are headed - and why we need to change course before we do irretrievable damage.

Should be read in all schools …

This is essential, evidence based wisdom, on the subject of Cosmic (social) justice.
It is essential that all people understand just how costly and unjust social just is!

Insightful book

It is a great book, amongst the very insightful books written by Thomas Sowell.

Brave fresh perspective

This book presents ideas from a brave fresh perspective. Let it guide your thinking in your quest for a society where everyone is left to their own devices — freely going about their business. But never take this to be a Bible of any sort. Universally, any truth allows for grey areas. The middle way — that neither of the left nor of the right, but of humanism — is the way of Nature, of God, of the Universe. Crazy social justice warriors who want to submit everyone to their causes through Stalinist processes are dangerous. But we die inside when we permit the cold logics of the market to dictate its vibrations to our soul. That said, the book does justice to its premise.

Again with the facts

What feels good now and acting to change, without really looking into how things are and why things are, can be a disaster and very short sighted. This book makes you think about a lot of failed modern day so called Cosmic Justice.

Even more relevant now than when it was published

This book is even more relevant now than when it was first published in the year 2000. It clearly explains how the American intelligentsia is destroying the ideals of the American revolution.

Amazing

Few people can articulate the truth like Thomas Sowell. His justification that man cannot redress the inherent disparities of life is irrefutable. A must read.

Tyranny is fast approaching

This books beautifully illustrates how the quest for cosmic (social) justice will inevitably end in tyranny. The signs are all around us, more so we’re complicit in the erosion of our freedoms.

Wonderful

I am so pleased to have discovered This author. He is an original thinker and deserves a Nobel laureate. He will not be considered for one because it would undermine the ruling elites
