Yet another Great BOOK by Winston Graham
The Story continue s as this series plunges on , nearly out of the regentcy era with another mining venture and ending with another feint at the now single George Warleggan

Love this series
Waited so long for this to be released. It was worth it but I wish we had more notice of release dates! A great story with a fantastic narrator. This is one of those series that you feel deep regret and loss when you're finished.

Not as good but still Poldark
the book drags on a bit and characters such as Ross loose a bit of sparkle, while having his son commit crime for a woman, seems beneath the character. Yet it is nice to carry on following the family in its path.

The Poldark Saga continues!
And so the story of the Poldarks is taken forward. Events continue on from The Stranger from the Sea, so whilst you don't have to read/listen from book one in the Poldark series you will find reading/listening to this one essential if you are to understand all that goes on in this book.
The focus is still very much on the younger Poldarks, their lives and their friends. Although Ross and Demelza's story continues, with George still there although there interactions with each other virtually non existent - I suspect this will change as the saga moves forward through the happenings in their children's lives! This I look forward to as it was a missing element in this book.
The accurate description of life, times and political climate of the early 1800 is to be applauded, as is the excellent portrayal of the characters by the narrator.
Ending again on cliff hangers leaves me needing to get on and listen to the next installment.

As good as the other ones
this is the ninth book in the series I have listened to. The standard is maintained, the story is beautifully developed and the characters never lose their interest. I never realised Winston Graham was such a good writer. and Oliver Hemborough's narration is second to none. Completely recommend.

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed this Book. I have previously read all the Winston Graham's Poldark books and I am loving the audio books as much, if not more.
