About this listen
Lorith's magic is fading. Centuries ago, heroic adventurers stopped the World Boss’ cycle of rebirth by reducing the creature to one hit point and sealing it away so no one would ever find it. But, by ending one calamity, they halted the natural flow of magic within the world and brought about the Havoc Plague.
With all civilization now on the brink of collapse, humanity's only hope is to find and kill the World Boss in order to restart the monster's rebirth cycle and bring back magic. When the Plagued janitor Harvey stumbles into a mysterious wreckage and accidentally kills the missing World Boss, he gains a million experience points, making him the target of almost all the would-be adventurers of the world. Burdened with ancient knowledge, and hunted by countless rivals, he must join with unlikely allies to do the unthinkable: find the reincarnated World Boss and defeat it again, before it can ravage the world anew.
Father of Constructs is an optimistic LitRPG novel with a dash of Slice of Life.

original with a unique spin
I love the lit RPG genre and I have hundreds of books, I really really enjoyed this and I can't wait to see how things develop. I did initially struggle with the narrator but once I got used to his style I truly got into it.
if you're thinking about giving it a go, do it. great story.

Absolutely amazing
I loved everything about the book.
The MC and characters are so loveable and all the interactions feel genuine. The narrators do a great job of bringing everything together.
The story is awesome, I can not wait to see what awaits our friends.
As far as writing quality goes, this is sublime. Loved the world building and how everything tied together. The system is also a breath of fresh air.
As I said, the narrators really make this book shine. Perfect choice in my opinion. I can't decide whom I like more! The accents and emotions were so on point! Rare performance!
Congrats to everybody involved in the project!

Likeable characters, slower pace but decent world building
Reading the description I thought this was going to land more on the comedic side of the Lit-RPG spectrum. Instead, the story takes itself moderately seriously (within reason) and provides compelling world-building in a game like setting without relying on the tropes/crutches of isekai or apocalyptic system introduction.
The characterisation is done well, and within a few chapters I found myself rooting for our hero, who manages to maintain his innocence and good nature despite his circumstances.
Beware though, if you are looking for the typical “numbers go up” fix of many popular Lit-RPGs this is not the story for you. At times the story can be a little on the slower side with brief bursts of action.
While the narration is generally done well, the narrators tend not to vary their pacing much which can lead to important self contained sections bleeding into each other. In fact if I have one complaint this would be it, in that section breaks in the text aren’t reflected in the narration even when they signify a switch in POV characters. This can be quite confusing when suddenly hearing the thoughts of a character the POV was talking to just seconds ago
