Summary
Perry Z has a Magical Destiny.
Born to a Magical Fantasy Princess and a nine-to-five Supervillain in the most superhero riddled city in the world, Perry's never felt...adequate. He's got no talent for magic, and not a scrap of superpowers to his name.
When The System boots and unlocks his powers, it forces him to follow in his father's footsteps, but he'd rather take after his mother...
Maybe there's a way he can do both...

Crammed full of goodness
What a great audiobook! The story and characters are really strong. It felt like you had three or four books in one, as characters and plots continued to develop and evolve. The teenage perspective works well and the gives a great angle for learning all of the workings for this world. It's definitely great value and keeps your attention.
The performances were strong as well, I really enjoy SBT (the group who recorded this) as you although you get a main peformer, you get a number of other voices that help keep the story clear and more natural.
Can't wait for book 2.

Instantly loved
This series was one I sank into right away, I like the action and the setting. I already can’t wait for the next one.
Also it goes without saying Soundbooth Theater and all involved were great!

Fun characters and world building.
It's a classic caped superhero setting but very well thoughtout. protagonist is likeable and smart in a believable way. resourceful but can be reckless.

Technological magic begins
This is a great story! Perry's struggles at the start with his inability to use magic as he has wished since childhood.
The author has done a great job in fleshing out the world of supers, adding politics and differences in polices between different cities.
The narrators at SBT does a great job, the voices for each character fits their personality and makes then easy to differentiate! Can't wait for more!!

A garage full of laughs
Not my normal genre being in the superhero theme but i found this surprisingly fun and was laughing my head off at times. its a blend action and witty humour from the start to the end that any comic book fan would love.

Light hearted and surprisingly fun
Lots of giggles from this one, nice and light. Superheroes theme is clear - kinda like if the boys was a litrpg. SBT full cast makes this one into something incredibly special.

A Fun intro to the world of Litrpg
It’s my first time reading/listening a litrpg book and my only regret is that I didn’t start earlier. Perry and the rest of the characters were such a fun bunch. Their interactions really brought the book to life, especially the banter between Heather and Perry. The world of industrial strength magic is the type of chaotic fantasy world I’d wanna live in if I had the right set of abilities.
Enjoyed the performances, sound track and sfx which all book that much more of a joy to listen to.
Can’t wait for the sequel and more crazy adventures.

Genuinely Hilarious
I had this going in my ear at work and frequently got side eye for smiling and laughing
Story and humour pulled me in quickly and the quality of the performance made for easy long listening sessions
Get this if you’re interested in a creative magic system with both goofy and serious applications

Extreamly good!!!
The story is all around great, but what really sets this book apart is the world building and characters which are both amazing.
I found myself stuck listening to the book constantly, compleatly hooked and I already can’t wait for book 2 to come out!!
