About this listen
Would you travel to a parallel universe to find someone you love?
General Maada leads his fleet to the White Republic universe, where the Xenoakakies rule with an iron fist. There, he’s surprised to meet a few old friends as well as some new foes, including the Death Angel, the legendary enemy pilot who’s killed the general’s doppelganger.
While Maada has been through his fair share of hopeless battles, this particular conflict is on another level altogether, even for him. The insects’ hold on this universe seems unshakable, and their fleet dwarfs the general’s in both numbers and power by no small margin.
Pick up The Gray Emperor, the penultimate book in The Crimson Deathbringer Series, and get ready to say goodbye to one of science fiction’s greatest anti-heroes!

The “What If” of the series
A fun twist in the series that offered a fresh take on what could have happened if things had gone differently. If you love the series this brings more of the fun you’ve come to expect.

“Starts with K, finishes with E and rhymes with Kamikaze”
I’ve enjoyed the whole series so far but this was by far my favourite. It seemed to have a slightly darker/more serious vibe than the others whilst still keeping with the fell of the other books.
Well narrated with great character voices. Can’t wait for the next one!
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.

Great series - can’t get enough!!
So all the other reviewers seem to have benefited from a free copy but I can’t complain as the whole series has been amazing value- one gripe about this one- the sound levels keep changing so sometimes really loud and then can barely heat it! Just feels like poor production to me. Having said that the narrator is brilliant and the whole series is great- I’m actually dreading it coming to and end soon. I’ll have to try and fill the gap!

Conspiracy !
The imagination of the author Sean Robins keeps amazing from book to book in this series, where have he got the idea for this conspiracy no one can know.
The first 6 where just awesome and just as you thought that the story was over the author surprised us all and probably himself to, with the idea of a continuation of another three book’s creation of a series of nine.
Number seven was written in perfection as a continuation and a beginning of the ending of book nine.
The narrator C. J. Gray is, perfectly voicing each of the characters in the series.
Absolutely,
without a doubt,
My recommendations !

Another Excellent Addition
This was a brilliant addition to the first 6 in the series. It has a different tone to it but it’s still as amazing as the first 6. The narrator does an excellent job. Looking forward to the last 2 parts in this series. Highly recommend if you loved the first lot of audiobooks
