Wonderful

Brilliant and so thoughtfully written. I loved it. The concept of the book is truly wonderful, the back story with its time machine and money grabbing, ladder climbing executive's, a good reminder of what we are aware of in our own communities and work places.
Interesting questions and doubts wind through the main story, some leaving you to work it out through your own circumstances, some given simple, yet obvious answers.
The characters are believable and fun, making it a real pleasure to follow the walk of Jesus and his disciples to the cross and resurrection.
Love and wit, death, evil and confrontation is all here with an extra chocolate flake in your Joes icecream.
The accuracy of the wonderful bible story is like no other, this is a book that you can listen to without feeling as if your being lectured to in Sunday school.
I highly recommend you listen / read this book.

Of course I can't end this without giving R.C Bray a mention, in this be has excelled his abilities in carrying each of the players, their accents, bruffness, gentleness and passion terrifically and wonderfully portrayed. Well done mr Bray.

I could be a believer

As usual Jeremy has produced a brilliant piece of literature which makes this old atheist want to believe. Keep writing mate and keep making me question everything.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story and its narration.

Taking subjects that have been written about many times before but giving them a fresh & interesting twist that will keep you listening. The characters were well developed so you start to care what happens to them.

The narrator has a very clear and 'easy on the ear' voice and does well to give each character a separate tone which obviously makes the story a lot easier to follow.

Already looking forward to listening to book 2 in the J. Robinson Origins series. 👍

Twisty-turny timey-wimey story

This was a highly entertaining time travel book. The mixture of fact and fiction was refreshing and I enjoyed the whole thing.

Brilliant story, amazingly narrated

The story weaves a fascinating adventure mixing fact and fiction. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t stop listening. RC Bray made the characters come to life. Just brilliant all round!

Not one of the better ones...

For me, Jeremy Robinson books are a bit hit and miss. ‘The Didymus Contingency’ is not one of the better ones. The plot is on the more unbelievable side of ludicrous, which in itself isn’t a problem; I’m always up for a bit of escapist nonsense. Unfortunately, it just isn’t very well written and does take itself rather too seriously. Some of the characterisation and dialog is just plain cringe-worthy. I have struggled to get to the midway point, but am afraid I am going to have to give up on this one. Even Mr Bray is not on top form here. I would personally suggest having a listen to ‘Mind Bullet’ first, which is also ludicrous, but an absolute belter of a ride.
