About this listen

[Human After All was previously released under the titles, Xom-B, Uprising, and Freeman. The author’s preferred title is Human After All.]

Freeman is a genius with an uncommon mixture of memory, intelligence and creativity. He lives in a worldwide utopia, but it was not always so. There was a time known as the Grind—when Freeman’s people lived as slaves to another race referred to simply as “Master.” They were property. But a civil rights movement emerged. Change seemed near, but the Masters refused to bend. Instead, they declared war.

And lost.

Now, the freed world is threatened by a virus, spread through bites, sweeping through the population. Those infected are propelled to violence, driven to disperse the virus. Uniquely suited to respond to this new threat, Freeman searches for a cure, but instead finds the source—the Masters, intent on reclaiming the world. Freeman must fight for his life, for his friends and for the truth, which is far more complex and dangerous than he ever imagined.

Robinson’s lightning fast, cutting-edge novels have won over thriller, horror, science-fiction and action/adventure fans alike, and he has received high praise from peers like James Rollins, Jonathan Maberry, and Scott Sigler. Human After All is a wildly inventive zombie novel with a high-tech twist that will keep readers guessing until the very last sentence.

good not great

a little childish for my taste, fairy tail ending. the plot doesn't seem to make sense to a severe scrutiny, but it is something different nonetheless.
The narrator does a great job , overall is an ok book.

What a compelling story.

Of all the ways and means of approaching , contemplating and creating a zombie story, this was not what I was expecting. The mould of the genre has been smashed to smithereens!!!

This book is fantastic and rewards the listener with some twists and turns that I had never imagined possible within a zombie story. Then you have the ethical questions..... I took a chance and it paid off in bucket loads. You my enjoy it as well 😊

a new take

a slightly different angle on a standard zombie book, but that angle makes all the difference. as always R.C. Bray brings the book to life

A fun read

A good read with a robotic twist on the zombie genre. Jeremy doesn’t disappoint , as usual.

really enjoyed it

but I've enjoyed all his books to-date...
you can just enjoy the story with this at surface level or you can see it at a more profound level and think more on the subject of what might be ..... never the less more great caricatures from the writer and excellent narration as always from RC

WOW!!

I was surprises at how good this book was. I tried it due to the narrator RC Brat. However, if the author's other books are to this standard, or even half as good, I might have just found another favourite author!!

A freshing take on a zombie apocalypse

Extremely enjoyed this book. Its a different take on the zombie apocalypse. Like normal, the narration was amazing! Only thing I didn't like was the main character's voice changed at the end. Now I totally get why his voice changed, but it sounded way too similar to another main character's voice. Other than that, Great story!

Not his best

Hated the first 5 chapters, the story was jumbled and confusing, it feels like he was doing his best to not reveal anything, but to me it was quite obvious what was going on right from the beginning and my assumption was right, still a fun romp and interesting take on Zombie fiction. The performance saved it though
