Summary
Ahren and his companions journey on to Evergreen, finding new courage after the traumas of the Green Sea. Setting off, then, to traverse the continent in search of the missing Paladin Yollock, it isn't long before they find themselves sucked into a maelstrom of adventures involving a woman who has been robbed, a desperate Cape Verstaad grandee, not to mention a cutthroat city which proves itself a veritable nest of ne'er-do-wells. Controlled by the brilliant assassin Reik Silvermantle, this hub of lawlessness and immorality presents Ahren and his friends with one of their greatest challenges . . .

Good but different
I finished this listen this afternoon. Loved being back in this world and hearing the next part of the story.
I know others have mentioned the change in narrator. Admittedly it takes some getting used to. However, Stuart Crank is very good in his own right. My mind is still programed to expect Gildhart Jackson though.
Rounding this off, Enjoyable story and can't wait to listen to the next one.

Why a different narrator?
Spoiled by a different narrator giving different voices to everyone. Got through it as quick as I could to get back to the proper readings

Why change the narrator?
The story was good but I don’t understand why the change in the narrator? It just spoiled what we were used too, regarding the characters voices.

Why change narrator?
I have been following this story now for some time. Changing narrator at this point ruins flow. I mean why is Trogadon suddenly Scottish?

New narrator is a mistake
great storyline but the change of narrator really do ruin the experience.
He is simply too different from the previous one. Way too posh and dry

Change of Narrator but...
...if it was a necessary change, it wasn't a totally bad one - just needed a few chapters to get used to slight changes in character voices.
I'm really enjoying the series and will be 'story grieving' when I finish them all!

God awful reader
I love the story, which as it’s the 11Th book in the series is pretty obvious but this performance was appalling! Why did they use a different performer instead of Gildart, the voice I’ve come to rely on for this series? It was as if the performer had never listened to a single book prior to reading this himself, the voices were wrong and lacked depth and the pronunciations were nothing alike the previous 10 books! Thankfully the next book returns to Gildart as the performer!
