Summary

How can you stop a serial killer who has been dead for a hundred years?

The nail-biting new thriller in the #1 New York Times bestselling Agent Pendergast series. FBI Special Agent A.X.L. Pendergast always wants to protect his protegee Constance Greene from harm. But, against all odds, Constance has found a way to travel back in time to New York City in the late 1800s to embark on a dangerous quest: to stop the era's most infamous serial killer, Dr. Enoch Leng from bringing his plans to fruition. If she does, she can finally prevent the events that led to the shocking deaths of her sister and brother. Meanwhile, in present-day New York, Agent Pendergast is desperate to reunite with Constance before she gets stuck in the past forever... but can he find a way before it's too late?

Good listen!

I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one didn’t bother me that it’s left on a bit of a cliffhanger!

Decent but not as compelling as earlier novels

It’s a fine story, easy listen, but lacks the urgency and tension of previous books.

Frustrating

I love these stories but this one is getting out of hand and to announce at the end that this is a two parter is very frustrating!

An absolute mess

Having enjoyed this duo’s other books I looked forward to this one and whilst it is well read by an engaging reader, it’s a rambling, unedited, shambles with unconnected storylines and it just stops dead with a ‘sorry we’re getting on with writing another one in the series’ addendum by the authors. Waste of time.

Disappointing

It was too long , tedious I stuck with it to see how it ended but it doesn’t end! There’s another book as yet unwritten. I will not be getting it as frankly I no longer care !!
