About this listen
A body found hidden at the bottom of an open church grave, a suspect running in a local election, and a political opponent, willing to do whatever it takes to win.
Set within the mysterious beauty of the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a dark cozy Norfolk murder mystery with a slice of humour and a touch of romance, one that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.
Swanton Morley is a totally addictive gripping crime thriller, the eleventh in a chilling series of serial killer books, ones which will rapidly convert followers of L J Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis, Damien Boyd, J M Dalgliesh, and Elly Griffiths into David Blake devotees.©2024 David Blake (P)2024 W.F. 11 books in and still as enjoyable as the first
I always look forward to each new entry into the DCI Tanner series and have yet to be disappointed. Tanner has everything he could want at this point so I hope the author can find ways to keep it fresh without taking away for the sake of it. I would like to see Tanner taking a backseat a bit more and have a new lead take the reigns with their own brand of detection.

Tanner The Anti Hero.
An interesting story where Tanner makes a mistake and is hoodwinked into going after the wrong man.
Lots of twists and turns. An excellent listen.
I just wish it was longer.

Brilliant narration as always
Although I enjoyed the story which moved at a pace with lots of humour thrown in; I found the overuse of "I don't suppose" by many of the characters, quite irritating and the tone in general, a little smug. I also found the whodunnit element quite predictable from early on. Nonetheless, Jonathan Keeble always does excellent narration and it was easy listening and fun.

Why the sudden bad language?
I've listened to all of this series. Suddenly, D.I Tanner starts effing and blinding!! It doesn't fit with his profile from previous books, and was all a bit unnecessary in my opinion. The story line was good, and Keeble is his usual self, but just not convinced by the character change. I'll think twice before ordering the next one...

we can all get it wrong
Brilliant this book even shows that Tanner can get it not quite right sometimes. Can't wait for the next book.

Detective Tanner once again, a very clever and grounded Detective and the narration of his character is yet again amazing.
I didn’t dislike anything apart from I wash it was a longer story because it is a brilliant plot yet again.
