Summary

How well would you cope after being summoned to rule a kingdom in an RPG?

Sean de Courcy is a gamer with a maxed out warrior build on a popular MMORPG. When the desperate rulers of a declining kingdom need a warrior to help lead them to triumph over their enemies, their summoning spell picks Sean. Their world obeys the rules of an RPG, so although Sean has no real world fighting experience, he is exactly the person they need to manage the kingdom, increase the levels of the PCs, and lead their armies to victory.

An Isekai LitRPG with base building.

story was really fun, however the voice quality leaves a little to be desired, not unbearable but not 5 stars

great listen and excited for the next

I really enjoyed the listen and the story kept me guessing and wanting more.
it has a good balance between the leveling up and base building aspects and I would recommend this to anyone

Fantastic listen.

The story was so good and so fluid I didn’t even notice it was 30hrs. It ended so good too. It’s a masterpiece.

Good book well read.

thanks for an entertaining book that has a definite ending and a great selection of characters.

I only heard 3 possible mistakes which is impressive in a 30+ hr book.

we'll worth the 1 credit.

Completely surprised!

So I’m about half way through and I’d be happy with only this much. I will pick up almost any litrpg and had no real expectations of this but absolutely worth it will update if things change. I wanted to put up a review for people who were looking at this and on the fence to get it.

Random purchase which delighted

I purchased this from seeing the cover and then reading the abstract, delighted I did.
The MC is summoned to a new world, each country fighting for overall dominance. Already behind, he has to use his RPG skills from earth to build his base and take back control.
The story is great and I ended up buying the book so I can sync between the two so not to annoy my wife playing the audible version.
This is a two book audio book which delights, where the first book needs would have left me cursing at the author of I’d have had to wait for book 2, cliffhanger anyone.
I enjoyed narration, as I was concerned from one review before buying, but like many things sometimes you have to take a risk and then make your own decision, just glad I did.

If a civ manual was a book

If you love the civ games you’ll love this one. The protagonist feels a bit detached and you pretty much only get the birds eye view of events. And events happen kind of like by chance as well I feel, kind of like they are appearing in a civ game. Problem is that i can’t stand these games and even less so not being the guy playing them. I made it few hours in, but don’t want to continue.

Don’t buy the story based on the opening chapter that you can listen to either, being a warrior is far down the list of what this book is about, at least so far.

Just less then avg

Annoying sound effects, and it feels like you are listening to an manual, the story could have been so much better, with a better narrator and just a hint of investment from the main character.
