Summary

Nothing brings change like war.

A surge of new tech. New weapons. New tactics.

To lead a crew to victory, a captain must understand change.

He must understand command, and that it is a test.

A test most men fail.

He must be brilliant.

Resourceful.

Every second.

Of every day.

And at night, during scarce moments of rest, he must sleep the sleep of the righteous.

The time has come for Commander Tad Thatcher to look in the mirror.

The time has come to ask himself:

Am I that kind of man?

Spacers, Part 2 contains Wartorn Cluster through to the end of The Fall.

Enjoyable Sequel

Continuing the trials and tribulations of Vin Husher this book picks up where Spacers left off.

Unfortunately for me it was quite a long time ago that I listened to the first book and it took me a while to get back into the swing of things. In hindsight I would have liked a refresher before starting this book but I remembered most of the main characters.

It was when we came across some of the lesser characters I had to struggle to remember where we had met them before.

We have more space drama, epic battles and Hushers famous tactics that we saw in the last book but the stakes are invariably higher than they have been before.

I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the next installment.

Fantastic audiobook

Brilliant story, an amazing second book. Great narration. So, you dream of becoming a spaceship captain? then this is the series for you. Good Luck Spacer. Written from inside a mech, which is inside the hangar bay of a light armored cruiser stationed just past Jupiter? Oh how I yearn for the days that will be as nonchalant as drinking tea on a veranda.

Very Engaging

Have enjoyed both Spacers 1 & 2. Is there a follow up book following Thatcher's return? May be a travel back in time?

Unity 151 review - enjoyable

I was given this for free and I’ll review it truthfully.

I have listened to the first two and now I’ve listened to the this.

Overall I enjoyed it. Lots of moving parts showing it has a slight grandness. Schemes and some shadow work. A few betrayals that I knew would come and a few things is didn’t see coming.

Now I’m a huge lover of action in my sci and I personally can not have enough. For this it was on the lower end of action for me. And when the action happened it wasn’t in as much detail as I personally like. But saying that the action was fun. I always like action from start to finish and that’s how I am.

I think I give the first spacers a 3.7 and this is better. I would say 3.9/4.0.

A good book and enjoyable. Left with questions still and a few things unanswered.
