Excellent

Great book, thoroughly enjoyed, so much so that I instantly bought Vol 2 and continued listening as I didn't want it to end.

It did feel like Vol 1 didn't really end, was a little odd, like Vol 1 and 2 were written as a single book and just randomly split down the centre into two books. I'm not at the end of Vol 2 yet, so can't say if it also finishes the same.

The other thing of note, I think the vice acting is great, I understand previous reviews getting annoyed with the sound effects but it just to me that it's written that way. I've no issues with that. the only difficulty I've found is that two of the characters names are very similar and as an English speaker I finish it hard to notice the difference of the two similar Korean names. Also the name of the main character is often pronounced differently so I find I'm often unsure who's name is being said.

despite any of these issues I thought it was awesome. I've also now ordered the manga and look forward to the anime coming out next year!

A Must Listen

I've seen good reviews and decided to try it.
Really well written and beat my expectation.

I thought the performance was good. The sound effects could be off putting to some but I didn't mind them.

My only bad point to the story and narration was the names of characters and the performances each were given. Some characters names sounded similar and each character performance was similar also which fractured my immersion by trying to understand what was going on.

This is partly me being ignorant and not being familiar with Korean names, and partly the lack of different voices given to the characters unlike Yen Audio's other audio books.

Overall, it's a great power trip fantasy and I am intrigued by the story. I will be moving on the next book.

👍

The performance is not bad but compared to the anime I just can’t agree with the mc sounding the way he does

great story well read

I loved the story and that the narrator is also Korean so we get all the correct pronunciations. I think the sound effects didn't need to be read out though.

Mouth Sound Effects

Enjoyed the book but the sound effects that the narrator made, admittedly as part of the book, were incredibly annoying.

really enjoyable

I really enjoyed the reader of this book. Went into the small details of noises of blade slashes to goblin sounds. The story is really detailed and I was hooked from the start.

Lose the sound effects

Great story, but lose the sound effects as they take away from the overall story.

fantastic

couldn't get into the manwha when I first got reccomded it. picked up the audiobook because it seemed a good length for a long car ride. binged the whole thing while I was supposed to be spending time with my family, then got caught up on the manhwa when I got home. Will definitely be picking up vol 2 when it comes out; nuff said.

p.s. the narrator is pretty good, don't belive the stuff about the sound effects. they grow on you once the actual solo levelling starts. plus it's nice to know who half the names are supposed to be prounced.
