About this listen
Work with nature to consistently grow the highest quality produce—all while doing your part in fighting climate change and helping the environment.
Are you stressed out about…
The seemingly steady decline in both the quantity and quality of your crops?
“Technical farming problems” like soil erosion and biodiversity loss?
Climate change—how you can cope with it, and how you can be part of the solution rather than the problem?
If so, chances are you’re suffering from eco-anxiety…and unfortunately, you have good reason to do so.
According to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), each year, an estimated 24 billion tons of fertile soil are lost due to erosion. That’s a whopping 3.4 tons lost every year for each person on the planet.
This is quite a serious issue, considering the fact that it takes approximately 500 years for a 2.5-centimeter layer of fertile topsoil to form under agricultural conditions—and our food security ultimately depends on soil quality. But the good news is there’s a way to reverse the damage…and you can be part of the solution…through regenerative agriculture! Regenerative agriculture has countless benefits—producing nutrient-dense food, combating climate change, enhancing ecosystem biodiversity, improving air and water quality, huge savings from higher yields, using fewer synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides… the list goes on and on!
Now, if it sounds like you’re going to need technical expertise to do this… don’t worry. Understanding your soil and giving it what it needs doesn’t have to be complicated. Start with this easy-to-listen guide filled with practical advice and information on how to improve your relationship with your soil and get the most out of it! Click "Add To Cart" Now.

Wow! impressive information
This book is so interesting. I have an interest in gardening and I was looking for a book to learn more about good soil as that is a big part of growing healthy plants. I'm very happy I got to read this book. There is so much information that I did not know about on the topic of soil. I really like the chapter where the author explains using biology how certain fungis and bacterias in the soil helps to make the soil more nutritious, which then benefits the plant. Another interesting chapter is about composting! As I would also like to make sure I'm eco-friendly, composting is something I'm hoping to incorporate into my gardening. The author teaches you about vermin composting. It seems like a very easy composting method to get started with, but there was also a warning about only using indigenous worm species. I truly appreciate that heads-up. All in all, this book was a great eye-opener for me as a gardener! I highly recommend this to any other gardener.

Time for change
This was an eye-opening listen, which provided a ton of interesting information and advice to revolutionize the most fundamental component of agriculture - soil. I have been playing around for ages with soil and compost to create the best, richest soil for my plants and veggies to thrive. This is such a handy guide to doing exactly this: creating and testing to improve our gardens, starting with the very foundation. I also learned that eco guilt and eco stress are actually a thing! This explains a lot. All in all, the advice dispensed was on-point and I would surely recommend a listen to any and all gardening enthusiasts and professionals.

Very informative
This book wonderfully explains the importance of soil, and reiterates just how important and vital it is for healthy crops. We tend to forget that soil is also a living thing, and we've been stripping its nutrients for long. This book gives practical steps to bringing your soil back to life, highlighting composting techniques that will restore the soil's nutrients.
It is also well explained, making it easy to understand even if you're just starting gardening.

Packed with great information!
I just finished listening, and I was thoroughly impressed. The author dives into the basics of soil science and provides an actionable step-by-step plan to create living soil. She goes into detail about how improper agricultural practices have depleted soil levels and caused damage to the environment. Her “Fermentation Technique” was particularly helpful for understanding and remediating soil. She also provides a “Do It Yourself” soil jar test to better understand the characteristics and shortcomings of the current soil, the mineral profiles, and the diversity of the macro- and microorganisms in the soil to detect the succession levels. The author also talks about Korean Natural Farming, which is a sustainable, cheap, and profitable farming technique that has no side effects and is family friendly. This book was an eye-opener for me and it certainly changed the way I look at soil and agriculture. The information provided is straightforward and practical. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning about soil, agricultre and gardening.

Great In-depth Study of Soil Composition
If you're not a gardener, it's amazing how we take the soil we walk on for granted. This book is an in-depth study of soil and an eye-opener. It covers everything from what soil is, what living things make it up, what nutrients it possesses, how it processes everything in it, and what happens when it loses all those things that make it a living thing. The author goes into great depth in telling the reader how to rebuild soil that has died including the how-to's of testing, different composting techniques, and methods for rejuvenating this precious commodity. The book was written in terms that anyone can understand. Job well done and a fascinating read. The narrator is excellent. Thanks for sharing!
