Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

A Jack Reacher short story published as an individual audiobook, now also available in the complete Jack Reacher short story collection, No Middle Name.

Ever wondered what early experiences shaped Reacher's explosive career as butt-kicker supreme, the one-man guided-missile battler for justice? Lee Child looks back on an incident in his hero Jack Reacher's teenage years as the younger son of a tough career US Marine, on a faraway military base in the Pacific.

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Second Son follows on from Worth Dying For.

Informative Story

Gives a great insight into how Reacher became an MP. Good narration and good pace.

Expensive book

I agree with prior comments that this book is not worth a £9.99 credit. It’s content is up to scratch, but it’s very short

I'm really annoyed that it's cost me a credit for 1.5 hours worth of book. it should be more obvious that this is only short story not a full book. lesson learned I should always check the amount of time the book runs for.

Reacher, before he was "Reacher!"

They don't come much better than Jack Reacher. Yet again, another cracker from Mr Child

Nice little background story

I liked the premise and the insight of Reacher as a young lad showing his initial signs of his detective skills. Loss of one star was the story is a little too short and kind of cut off at the end.
