About this listen

From Zack Snyder, the filmmaker behind 300, Man of Steel, and Army of the Dead, comes Rebel Moon, an epic science-fantasy event decades in the making.

When a peaceful settlement on a moon in the furthest reaches of the universe finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors—outsiders, insurgents, peasants and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a new army of heroes is formed.

Novelized by V. Castro, two-time Bram Stoker Award-nominated author. Experience Rebel Moon in this pulse-pounding novelization.

all the extra details is crazy

I really liked it the way it was told by the narrator and how all the extended scenes filled the story and the characters

Nuanced deeper dive into the Rebel Moon Part 1

The book is very well written and provides great insight into the world, characters and politics of Rebel Moon universe (as based on an R-rated version of Part 1 A Child of Fire, aka first half of the story). Balisarius, Atticus Noble, Kora, Jimmy, Cassius, and Aris with Sam are particularly provided with more fleshed out and expanded look at their past and present alike.

The Narration by Allysa Appleton is quite well enunciated and nicely suits V. Castro's descriptive detailed writting style.

Book itself is as imaginative and epic in scale as the film. Thoughtful, Violent and Sexy

The extra detail is SOOOOO INTENSE

Really enjoyed this even after watching the theatrical movie on netflix. I knew it was cut down as per netflix request and we’ll get the directors cut in August. I really wanted to hear more about the universe and more details in each of the scenes and I got that for sure and more.

Atticus Noble is a menace

The movie was great, but this novel has all the great RR that was not in the pg13 movie.
