About this listen

Will refused to admit to the HR lady at Radical Interactive that he'd never played their debut virtual reality MMORPG The Realm. With the company's failed attempt at entering the gaming industry, they switched their sights to focus on smaller scale educational programs.

Being a beta tester for Radical Interactive was not the dream job that Will had envisioned, but he had hoped it would get his foot in the door to one day becoming a graphic designer for the company. He never realized that he was literally signing his life away.

Now a phenomenally successful company, Radical Interactive was secretly working on something behind closed doors that would change both the medical and gaming industries forever. The Realm was reborn. The only problem was that it wasn't a game - at least not to those trapped inside.

Dumped into a fantasy world filled with nightmarish monsters, awe-inspiring magic, and way more walking than Will thought he was physically capable of as a nerdy desk jockey, he has to navigate the perils of The Realm and unravel the mystery of how he came to be here and how to get out. Fantasy meets real-life consequences in a game that could mean the difference between life and death.

Addictive listening

I tend to go for long duration stories and this 3 in 1 bundle looked interesting so I got it. I'm really glad I did. what a great series, well written and very well narrated thank you to Neil Hellegers, it's held my interest from start to finish. I'm about to start the next bundle of 3.
my only bug bear (and it's a very small one) is there are no further 3 book bundles in this series, but it wont stop me getting all the books in the series, it'll just be annoying to have to break the flow every 8hrs or so.

Amazing! Inspiring Writting style! Perfectly chosen Voice Actor/Narrator!"

WOW! I was not expecting this to be much. But from the minute I started listening it caught my short attention span and had me hooked the whole way through.

It takes you on an adventure and really gives you those touchy feely vibes of the actual surroundings and other characters. It is so well written. Phoenix Grey has become one of my new fave's to listen to for inspiration on Writting Fantasy novels. He takes you into depth but without it getting to the point where you switch off. It's quick but to the point descriptions of places and people and surroundings are so well placed and really help you envision the world he takes you through.

The narration was so well done and I feel the perfect candidate was picked for it.
Neil Hellegers does such a great job of bringing the story to life and I believe, was a perfect match for this story.

If you enjoy Adventure then this book definitely is for you.

DnD meets the Matrix

Great storyline, comes across a bit like a DM’s recap of the game to date. Writer knows his Lore and mechanics, but drops the ball on some of the real world medical protocols (a very minor/pedantic point!)

Good

Good story, easy to follow and likable characters.
Only down side is it’s a bit slow, and a little to much information when it comes to the stat details

DIFFERENT

I was intrigued in wondering what The Realm Between was going to be like as I do like Phoenix Grey's other Pen named works.
But here I wasn't expecting to be in a 'gaming world' scenario.
I'm really sorry to say its not my cuppa tea.
Though the narration made me read/ listen to the first book, otherwise I would've stopped after ch.4

Mmmmmmm

Overall it’s pretty good, I just think the MC is a morally righteous lil bi*ch.
I don’t want a main character where killing someone is a massive deal. Hopefully in book 4+ he starts butchering people haha

Interesting Idea

The story has an interesting presentation, as if listening in to an RPG that someone else is playing. It is different to anything I have heard before and as a fan of RPG's it is great to hear. The story and problems encountered by the protagonist will be familiar to anyone who has ever played an RPG which helps to draw you in. As a collection of the first 3 books in the series this is an absolute bargain if you pick it up for 1 credit and I'm sure you won't be disappointed
