About this listen

Jason Wright has been missing, assumed dead, for six years.

His dying mother, Sandra, is desperate to know what happened to her son. Believing the police have let her down, Sandra hires Patsy Hodge and the Bearing Witness team to find out the truth behind Jason’s disappearance, however devastating.

When Meredith meets the Bearing women at a Christmas do, he introduces them to Patsy. The women begin working together to solve the mystery. But as they dig deeper into Jason’s last days, they put other lives in jeopardy. Can Meredith help them solve the mystery of what happened to Jason before the murderer strikes again?

This is the 11th book in the Meredith & Hodge series, and the fourth in Bearing Witness—a captivating, gripping treat you won't want to miss.

Compelling Engaging Murder Mystery

Another brilliant book to the series, quite enjoyed the new collaboration with the bear witness group, lots of twists, narration was good although it was difficult that Frank Tipper was far too female would have been better for Lee to have done the voice

Excellent story and narration

I’ve been waiting for the audiobook version of this book for while, knowing that it links two of my favourite series by one of my favourite authors. Was it worth the wait? Oh heck yes!

With Meredith & Hodge investigating in the usual way and the Bearing ladies using their psychic gift/curse to gain other clues that might not be available otherwise the story moves along in interesting ways. Meredith is, well, Meredith, and despite being on leave he can’t resist taking an ever increasing role. A thoroughly enjoyable tale.

The two narrators, Lee Beddow who reads the M&H books & Perdita Lawton of the Bearing Witness books, work really well together and help unify the two separate sets of characters into a cohesive unit.

I look forward to more books in both series.

Interesting cross over story

I didn’t enjoy this story as much as the straightforward Meredith &Hodge books. I felt there were too many characters and the voices were sometimes confusing. There was a nice twist at the end!
