Summary
Silver Peak is no place for a civilized shifter.
One minute, city girl Eileen Pennyroyal is running in terror from a bear - so scared she even forgets that she can turn into a wolf. The next minute, she's being rescued by the handsomest, rudest shifter she's ever seen. Does Marcus even know how to speak, or does he just grunt when someone tries to make conversation? Eileen knows when she's not wanted, and she thinks she's never going to see him again - until the local Alpha tells her that Marcus needs a mate immediately. And it's her.
After surviving a hellish ordeal in his youth, Marcus avoids human contacts at all costs - until he sees Eileen. From the minute he lays eyes on her, she stirs feelings in him that he's never experienced before. That's why he's fighting his need for her with everything he's got - because his burning desire for the sweet, clumsy city shifter is threatening to unravel the final fraying threads of his sanity. Can a mating of convenience turn into something more? And can Eileen convince Marcus that he's worth saving, before dark forces from his past come back to claim him for good?

Short and sweet
A perfect little easy listen shifter romance. Some unexpected plot twists and writing that was concise and filled with substance made this book a joy. Great narration and you got a short but sweet listen to keep you content and happy until the next book, well worth a listen.

Enjoyed the Narrators delivery of the characters.
Good story leading on from
the first book, and looking forward to the next in the trilogy.

Great read
Love, love, love this author and this book!
Definitely a great read on its own or as part of the series.
Definitely worth a listen, too, as the narrator did a good job of making it easy to follow the characters.
If you enjoy paranormal romance, this is the book for you.

great fun
this was so cute and loved the narration. Stella bloom always makes a good story better. And this one was really good in a cute, light sort of way. This quite short shifter novella involves a transformed shifter from New York City, a kind of overprotected and not used to doing anything herself princess, and a very damaged, almost feral country werewolf. There is a ton of drama mainly from her family and his past. Also, a bit of spice too. With hea and amazing narration. Included on KU

A nice read!
It's rare that a female narrator gets the make voices right and Stella Bloom nails it. This is a good story that doesn't fail to please in the telling. I'll happily read more by this author. Ms Bloom will be a narrator I look out for in the future.

Silly by Fun
These books are short so the romances happen very quickly which usually feels a little unearned (though at least these two spend more time together than the couple in the first book). The writer has a fondness for rich people being so clueless they barely know how to walk which she puts to affect here. How anyone who supposedly changes clothes several times a day and has a personal stylist has NEVER managed to work out how to dress her herself well is a mystery to me and a plot point on which quite a lot of time is spent. Overall it's a sweet story and read by one of my favourite narrators which was my main reason for trying the series at all.
