Summary

If Nick Stone wasn't so desperate for his American citizenship, he probably wouldn't have agreed to do this one last job with the CIA. But Carrie is over there and he simply can't refuse the chance of a new life with the woman he loves.

The job seems simple enough - and he is certainly skilled enough. Infiltrate the hostile, violent republic of Algeria, kill a money-laundering businessman, and bring back his severed head.

Stone knows there are some questions you don't ask, but as events spin out of control he realizes there is vital information he hasn't been told. Lurking beneath the glamorous exterior of the south of France is a dirty drugs war - and Stone is thrown into the middle of it. And there he is faced with his toughest dilemma yet...

Another Great story and Great narration

Andy McNab writes great books and I like the way these are written as a first person dialogue. the descriptions are really detailed which immerses the reader in the setting of the story. Paul Thornley does a great job narrating the books as well. Good humour in the books which ligthens the mood in what can be tense situations.

Amazing, read perfectly, had me at the end of my seat permanently.

Brilliantly read and written. Paul sounds just like how I would imagine nick and tells the story as if you were seeing it, WELL DONE ANDY MCNAB.

Great story

An interesting storyline which is believable and exciting. Hard to predict what will happen next. A good balance of background setting together with the usual amazing insight into the world of Nick Stone. Excellent narration as usual.

Why

Good yarn but why does Nick stone fail all the time? Every mission has a twist and no mission actually goes to plan. Suppose this is why there is a story😁
