Summary

Imagine a spell that can age you a lifetime in heartbeats, turn loved ones into enemies, and set demons upon your soul...and imagine having to use it to save the kingdom.

Battle-tested Augum, Bridget, and Leera prepare for a final confrontation with the increasingly vicious Lord of the Legion. To face him, they must master a hopelessly complex spell they can only learn from their legendary mentor, Anna Atticus Stone.

But with a kingdom hurtling toward annihilation, Anna Stone’s health failing, and relationships crumbling under the stress, the trio face the most painful decisions of their lives. For the slim chance of victory, they’ll risk everything on a daring plan - one that, whether it triumphs or fails, will exact a terrible price.

what a brilliant ending!

I have not been able to stop listening to this series and sad it's over.... for now! This was an epically long book but so good!! As usual, the lovey dovey stuff irritated somewhat (and I'm a girl that usally loves a bit of romance!) ... but this was vastly outweighed by the otherwise great story-telling. I am so so pleased with how it ended- very satisfying.
A fabulous world has been created and fantastic characters introduced and developped ... I feel as if I have learnt the spells along side our protagonists and been through every high and low with them.
I loved the narration too!! I am a little gutted that it is not the same narrator for the other books by Sever Bronny.
I thoroughly recommend this series!!

If I could ask one thing... it would be that the books were a more suitable price to buy for UK listeners... as I would love a paper set (only the 1st book is a reasonable price on Amazon... books 2-5 are around £20 each!!)

Excellent conclusion

Well wrought story, good descriptions and characters. Five very entertaining books. Well worth reading and probably more than once.

Good conclusion to the saga

I enjoyed the story from the first to last book. Well read and easy to follow, fantasy fans will enjoy. plenty of scope for further books before and after this series due to good world building.

good finally to a good series

While the writing was a little clunky in occasion this this a brilliant end to a brilliant series. I've enjoyed reading and listening to the family Stone.

KAZ 🇬🇧😃 Good 📖 but!!🤔

I'd suggest you start from the 1st book 📖 before hearing this story or your not gonna know half of what's going on anyway I've bought the series & yep 👍 it's pretty good my only complaint is how much Augen lead character & Leera are so in love it's ridiculous because there only 15 yr's old & supposed to save a kingdom from the evil Lord Sparkstone also Augen's father murderer & complete nut job 🤣 I've scored this quite low as I'm fed up hearing so much repetitive unnecessary bit's the narrator is brilliant character's are good especially Mrs Stone living legend magic castor & almost 100yr's old plot's ok could of been better in this final book seem's to drag on & on had to keep stopping getting bored sadly 😥
