About this listen
This audiobook covers a spectrum of options and tools to support women dealing with stress and anxiety in a divorce. It provides guides to implement a better diet, exercise regime, and sleep rhythm. It holds workable solutions for cravings, techniques for stress management–including breathing, meditation, and yoga–and explanations of the mind-body connection for emotional management. It encourages commitment to self-care practices, setting healthy boundaries, and evolving your social network.
I went through an acrimonious divorce for two and a half years, and when my ex finally left in November 2018, I was broke, had no job, and was exhausted mentally, emotionally, and physically. I had also lost my sister-in-law and my mother, had been cut off from both my siblings and all of my ex’s family, and experienced social isolation. On top of that, my father passed away a few months later in the Spring of 2019.
During the divorce process, I used every resource at my disposal to stay on track, focused, and as mentally clear as possible to deal with all the issues of the divorce–and I got a good outcome! I used a spectrum of tools to help me, adding things at different stages. I also trained online as a health coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, New York, and graduated in May 2018. The course was a tremendous source of inspiration to me. Not only did it give me tools to cope with all the stresses, but it enabled me to find my life’s purpose: to help other women going through traumatic life experiences to heal through food and a healthy lifestyle.
I hope this audiobook will be useful for your journey. If one area does not resonate with you at this moment, move on to another area that does. There is no order as such–each one of us has to choose what will work best for our own particular path to a healthy and vibrant life.
