About this listen

Assassins don’t retire; they reincarnate.

For nearly all of my life, I trained to become a master assassin, but at the height of my career, it all fell apart. I was betrayed, ambushed, and left bleeding out on the streets of London. Just before my death, though, I was offered a choice: Stay and let my life come to a swift and brutal end, or become the personal assassin of a god in another world. It wasn't a hard decision.

But this new world isn’t like the one I left. It operates by a completely different set of rules and a strange system that I don’t understand. I’m going to have to learn fast if I hope to survive in this land of myth and magic. All of my skills, and several new ones, will be put to the test as I receive my first contract. And new world or not, they have no idea who they’re up against.

Isekai Assassin is a fast-paced story set in a Gamelit dark-fantasy world, written by the best-selling author of the Wyvern Academy series.

It would be better without the system

The xp pop ups kinda ruin the flow of the story, it get pretty annoying rather quick. The way the system show his skills dosen't make any sense, he is a trained assassin with plenty of experince, but the system says he is a novice.

A unexpected gem

I bought this book on a gamble and I think I won the lottery. A rich engaging story that once I started I had to limit how much I listened to else I would have finished it in one sitting. told from the assassins point of view as he adapts to a new world, And navigates the underworld. Wisniewski narration is on another level and really brings the world alive.

excellent story and performance

the main character is very likable and the story is a nice change to the other isekai takes. The narrator does an excellent performance, very easy to listen to and no mistakes made. 10/10

Really enjoyable Listen

Loved the idea of the top Assassin from Earth traveling to another world where it show's a his progression through the increase in stats. The world building and characters were also excellent and the narrator did a great job though a couple of characters were a bit jarring based on their description.

Would recommend this audiobook to anyone one envoy's light novels, can't wait for the next one!
