why so much screeching?
Thiis book feels like money for old rope. Lots of waffle, a storyline that didn't know and didn't care where it was going, but the worst thing was that there was waaaaay too much yelling. I often had to remove my ear buds as my inner ear was bouncing like a trampoline with all the screeching arguments.

Brilliant
Another fantastic book by Cecilia Ahern, I loved every aspect of the story, particularly the description of the rag trees and Irish tradition. Wonderful narration too.

A struggle from the start
So sorry I wasted my monthly credit on this. It must be one of the most boring, dull and dreary books I’ve ever listed too. The main character was completely unlikeable moaning on and on about everything in her life. Totally unbelievable…. Just couldn’t find anything to like in it at all.

Implausible drivel
Disappointing listen….. a predictable formulaic tale of entitled people going through stuff and behaving badly and the sisters channeling their Irish goddess dead mother to make em more boho an less DORT). honestly none of the characters are nice people….. the husband (who has ever shortened Alexander to Xander 😂) is a dull dislikable bore unworthy of any nickname Enya is self absorbed and just makes some very morally questionable choices all on the one night..
surely all cars at the scene would have been forensically examined and there would be some evidence…. Why was Oscar the taxi driver so paranoid? And the coincidence of Finn the son?
All a bit contrived just to make sense… oh and that rag tree … gawd!

I wanted to like it more, but it didn't hit the right note for me.
I liked the idea of the rag tree, but in my opinion the book just seemed to waffle on. I hate to leave a bad review, as I love Cecilias books, but this certainly isn't as powerful as some of her other pieces of work. But I'll still read her next piece of work. And it's only my opinion, someone else may love it (sorry Cecilia for leaving a bad review)
