Summary
When the victim seems perfect, is it the perfect crime? The gripping new serial killer thriller from the runaway best-selling author of Cry Baby.
On a bitterly cold winter's night, Liverpool is left stunned by a brutal murder in the grounds of the city's Anglican Cathedral. A killer is on the loose, driven by a chilling rage.
Put on the case, DS Nathan Cody is quickly stumped. Wherever he digs, the victim seems to be almost angelic - no one has a bad word to say, let alone a motive for such a violent murder.
And Cody has other things on his mind, too. The ghosts of his past are coming ever closer, and - still bearing the physical and mental scars - it's all he can do to hold on to his sanity.
And then the killer strikes again....

Nathan is in trouble!!
Very very good! Kept me listening as much as I was able without falling asleep at 2 in the morning because I just couldn’t switch it off!!! The plot took me in at least 2 different directions and really got my grey cells working. Excellent. Another brilliant performance by Johnathan Keeble who is fast becoming my favourite narrator.

Brilliant as usual
Have yet to be disappointed by David Jackson. Only problem is that time just flies by and the end comes too soon. Great narration by Jonathan Keeble.

New favourite author! Amazing book. Really edgy, dark but also funny sometimes. I ordered more of David’s books.

Loved the first Cody book, this is better still!
The narrator, Johnathan Keeble is just fantastic, his character voices make you feel you are there in the room with them. I rarely enjoy the audio performance but he is amazing! Already looked for the next book, sadly I have to wait.

Enjoyable but a bit fed up with the clowns
I quite enjoyed this book and it was good to listen to. The only thing I would say is if you haven't read the preceding book or like me can't remember it you are rather lost at times to know what on earth is going on.
The leading man Cody isn't really a very likeable character and there are many times I feel like shaking him and shouting get a grip.
It also seemed a rather long book with long passages of description and detail but then it suddenly finished rather unexpectedly.
I will be interested in further from this author.
