About this listen
They have been judged. The verdict—guilty. The sentence—death.
Two beautiful young women are found strangled, their bodies meticulously washed and groomed. The only thing they have in common: Both worked as reporters for local TV stations.
A coincidence? Or something more sinister?
Rookie Special Agent Shannon Ames is assigned to the case and soon impresses with her brilliant intuition and startling ability to think outside the box. But as Shannon takes a more prominent role in the investigation, she finds herself drawn into a deadly dance with a master of deception, a serial killer whose victims all work in media—journalists, influencers, reporters.
Shannon’s superiors are convinced it’s part of some grand attack on the free press, but she has a hunch these killings are much more targeted. And she follows that hunch straight into the heart of darkness....
Into Darkness is a gripping mystery thriller that will keep you up all night as it races toward its shocking conclusion. Perfect for fans of David Baldacci, Robert Dugoni, and Lisa Regan.

Fast paced
Fast paced and logical but I feel the narrator has the voice and affectation for romance rather than crime

Entertaining
The story is nice and easy to follow, but nothing new. I was not very happy with the narrator reading which I found a bit too dramatic for my taste. It a fairly short book that can be listed on down times, but I don’t think I would have been happy using a credit to listen to it.

The killing Time
An intriguing tale lots of twists and turns made for compelling listening. I would recommend this story if you can cope with an American narrator.

Hmmm!
It was fine, don’t know if I’ll listen to anymore. Basically, it’s the standard novice, younger woman who doesn’t believe the rules apply to her and she’s streets ahead of all her senior agents.

I listened to the whole book at one sitting. Easy to listen to and even easier to be with Shannon. Looking forward to the next one must buy more credits first……..

A Gripping Mystery Thriller...
The Killing Time by T.J. Brearton is a gripping mystery thriller that follows rookie Special Agent Shannon Ames as she investigates a series of murders targeting media workers. The book is fast-paced, well-written, and full of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end. The characters are realistic and engaging, especially Shannon, who is smart, brave, and determined to catch the killer. The narration by Bailey Carr is excellent, bringing the story to life with different voices and emotions. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good crime thriller with a strong female protagonist.
