Summary
When an ex-Delta Forces operative dies in a car wreck in Miami, the FBI dismiss it as a tragic accident. But Jon Reznick isn't so sure—especially when he learns that his teetotal former colleague was apparently drunk at the wheel.
Reznick's one-man investigation quickly enters dangerous territory when it becomes clear that this was merely the first in a series of mysterious deaths. All of the victims are ex-Delta Forces, and all were involved in a top-secret Iranian hit under Reznick's command. Retribution will not be complete until Reznick is wiped out too.

Interesting story line, weak supporting characters.
This is book 3 in this series. Despite my enjoyment of the plot, I constantly frustrated with some of the recurring characters. In my humble opinion, the AD of the FBI should relocate her 'right hand man' Rob, because he has no learning curve! He continually degrades Jon's capabilities, tradecraft and intelligence, even though time after time his logical assessments Always helps them to achieve their end game. Anyone who is consistently obtuse & blinkered, is a liability to a team and cannot be depended on to do the right thing.
The AD herself is oftentimes illogical. Why did she need to go with the SWAT Team? That makes no strategic sense.
I'm happily listening to these novels, courtesy of my Kindle Unlimited subscription, I have 1 more to go, even though I know that there's a fifth book on the horizon. I doubt that I would persevere with this series beyond this book otherwise. Those character flaws irritate me - LOL.
Jon R is a Jack Reacher/John Milton combo. I like him, I'm sorry that he has this tendency to hang around with those FBI characters. He could do better! ;o)

Hooked
Third book of the series and it just keeps getting better. I wasn't convinced at first, but the more I listen, the more I fall in love. Each character is so lovable, the situations feel real. altogether an amazing series.
