Summary
This second volume of previously unpublished letters from the private correspondence of the Roxton family spans a 20-year period, from the 1760s to the late 1780s, and includes extracts from the diaries of Antonia, Duchess of Kinross, and her younger son Lord Henri-Antoine Hesham. Also included are letters by the fifth Duke of Roxton, written in the final stages of his illness, and addressed to his youngest son, Lord Henri-Antoine. The volume concludes with a letter by the latter’s wife, Lady Henri-Antoine Hesham, to her mother-in-law, the Duchess of Kinross, while abroad on her bridal trip. These letters complement the later chronology of the award-winning Roxton Family Saga: Dair Devil, Proud Mary, and Satyr’s Son. With a foreword by a late-Victorian descendant, Alice-Victoria, 10th Duchess of Roxton.

loved it!
I loved it as much as the first volume and brought such clarity to the story. I loved the 5th Duke's wisdom and I am sorry that I have now come to the end of the Saga. What am I to do? I feel bereft. thank you for writing such a magnificent series and I love the way that you have finished it off with these great volumes of letters. Highly recommended!

Moving, touching and enjoyable
“Forever Remain” is another wonderful member of the Roxton family series. The second volume of personal letters and diary entries written by members of this extended noble family is a perfect companion to the latest Roxton novels: Dair Devil, Proud Mary and Satyr’s Son. It offers an insight into the main characters’ inner world, feelings, way of thinking and motivations. It fills in some gaps in the lives of certain family members regarding events and actions that are mentioned in the novels but not presented in detail because they are not within the timeframe or main plotline of the novels. The style and content of each letter and diary entry speaks volumes about their writers and enhances the listener’s understanding of their character and motivations.
The narrator, Alex Wyndham gives a remarkable performance in conveying the content of these very personal letters and diary entries. Each character has its own voice according to their gender, age and disposition, as it was in all the Roxton audiobooks.
This is not a stand-alone book but a completion to the above mentioned three novels. You can listen to it as one audiobook after you finished the novels but, I think it can be best enjoyed if you listen to each block of letters shortly after you finished the respective novel.
Forever Remain is another 5 stars audiobook by the Lucinda Brant – Alex Wyndham team I warmly recommend, together with all the Roxton saga novels, to all fans of historical and especially Georgian romance.

Beautiful and Emotional
What made the experience of listening to Forever Remain: Roxton Letters Volume Two the most enjoyable?
Alex Wyndham brings each and every character to life with his perfect performances. He makes them believable, and when he reads the letters written from the heart between characters you can feel the emotion, you can believe he IS that person. I haven't come across any narrator that is good as Alex Wyndham is.
What did you like best about this story?
These are a collection of letters/diary entries rather than a story, I love that from them we get a better insight into the characters from Dair Devil, Proud Mary, and Satyr’s Son all in the Roxton Family Saga. I particularly was moved by the letters from the 5th Duke of Roxton to his son Henri-Antoine.
What does Alex Wyndham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Alex Wyndham becomes the characters he is portraying, their emotions become his emotions and you can just feel what they are going through be it happiness or sadness. Listening to him reading takes the written word and makes it become a movie in my mind!
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
An amazing insight into the life and loves of a family you have grown to love through the Roxton Family Saga books by Lucinda Brant!
Any additional comments?
I only want to add as I tend to do when commenting on the Lucinda Brant/Alex Wyndham collaborations that together they make a perfect pairing!

Loved it
Loved every second of these letters.
I listened to these 2 books of letters simultaneously after each respective story according to the dates. They were so much more effective that way. Especially the letters from the 5th Duke, Renard. I cried so much I couldn't contain myself. I'm so so sad now that I've finished the whole series, but will definitely listen to it all again. I hope there will be more stories to come of the younger generation of the Roxton family with Alex Wyndham narrating.
He was brilliant as always.
