Summary
This special boxed set edition is for all the fans who requested actor Alex Wyndham's narration of two of Lucinda Brant's best-loved books, Salt Bride and its sequel Salt Redux. Also included is a 20,000-word bonus novella, Salt Angel, featuring well-loved characters from the Salt books.
The Salt Hendon Collection is a great introduction to Lucinda Brant's richly romantic 18th century world, and Alex Wyndham's superlative voice talent.
Character-driven romantic suspense, similar to Regency noir. Non explicit (mild sensuality).

SUPERB !!
I have given five stars in the three categories because they are well deserved. What a story, it had everything from intrigue, to devious plots, to jealousy, to calculating plans and revenge so frightening in all its horror. Diana's mental instability was so severe and total that she had no trouble believing that her outlook was the right and only one and that the rest of the world knew it. She was in love with the Earl of Salt Hendon and had been so from a young age. Unfortunately for her and fortunately for everyone else he did not love her and had never wanted her. He warned his sibling not to marry her, knowing she was greedy, selfish , a liar and though he would not know about until much later also a thief. He was to find out in time that those were lesser crimes compared to what she was also guilty of. Resolving to remain part of his family she married his brother. In this way she would maintain the influence in the Earl's life that she believed she still had. He, on the other hand, made a major mistake in allowing her to remain in his house after her husband's death. This would backfire in all sorts of ways and have tragic consequenses, causing him and others terrible grief. Alex Wyndham's voice was perfect in the reading of this absorbing tale.
I am in full admiration at the way the author navigated the story and all its intricacies.I noticed there were many times when she used the tactic of delay. By that I mean that the scenes where information/details/advice had to be passed on , there were always delays in the characters involved being able to do this. It worked really well in these stories though I suspect, not necessarily in other stories of the same ilk. I am also so thankful for the wonderful offer of the story plus novellas on both Kindle and Audible. This was wonderful and enabled me to make full use of both. An amazing read indeed !!!

Most wonderful story and beautifully presented
The end part was odd and seemed to try to tie loose ends but wasn’t necessary….
BUT ALL IN ALL - simply wonderful…

Hours of pleasure!
Any additional comments?
Two fantastic books and an novella (ugh! I hate the word novella - makes a perfectly excellent short novel appear somehow of less value that its lengthier cousins). Anyway.. What a treat! I read all three stories as e-books and loved them all. Lucinda Brant is a magnificent story teller: her plots are excellent - utterly gripping as she cleverly gives us glimpses of the past and foreshadows the future, all the time weaving the fascinating strands of the plot into the most splendid of stories. Her characters have depth and complexity. The main hero utterly perfect even with his imperfections and his heroine is a delight - no overly feisty 21stC chick in an 18thC gown here, nor is she a helpless waif (did you guess they're two of my pet hates?), but our heroine demonstrates strength of character and good humour in the most trying of circumstances. Even the villainess is excellent - and we watch the tensions build and build until the dénouement. Ohh! it is SO exciting and I almost couldn't bear to listen (despite having read the book!!). So if you love utterly fulfilling romances with fabulous characters and great plots Lucinda Brant is your woman! And when read by Alex Wyndam .... utter perfection! His voice and characterisation are a perfect match for these books. Just be careful when listening on the commute - it's all too easy to miss your stop!

A favourite box set
Alex Wyndham is as splendid as ever, a master of acting and narration.
Lucinda Brant, show her mastery in this set of books . Worth every penny. Fantastic stories, love, humour, wickedness, sadness. Happiness and great plots. This is going to be one of my favourite reads. Over and over again

24 hours of blissful listening
It's hard to believe that Lucinda Brant's Salt Hendon Collection could be improved upon, but with the addition of the highly talented Alex Wyndham's performance that is exactly what has happened. This already powerful collection has been taken to a new level and I floated along on a cloud of bliss whilst listening to, and basking in, Alex Wyndham's velvety tones.
Mr. Wyndham captures every one of Ms. Brant's host of fascinating characters with aplomb and switches effortlessly between male and female, young and old with intonations and nuances so subtle that we, the listener, are never in any doubt as to who he has become - even during a multi-character conversation.
The uber talented Alex Wyndham has delivered the Salt Hendon Collection to perfection, bringing Ms. Brant's words into three-dimensional brilliance and offering us an insight into her opulent and fascinating Georgian world.
MY VERDICT: I defy anyone not to adore this feast of a collection and if you haven't already sampled the highly professional work of team Brant/Wyndham - what are you waiting for? Highly recommended!

Perfection!
What did you like most about Salt Hendon Collection?
EVERYTHING! The stories are captivating, the characters, you either love or hate, and their relationships with each other are wonderful to read about/listen to. You easily become a part of their world and run the gamut of emotions alongside them. Having all the Salt Hendon books in one collection is perfect, making the reader/listener spoilt.
Who was your favorite character and why?
As this is a collection of three stories, there are many characters and it's impossible to choose a favourite. It would be much easier to pick a least favourite. A perfectly written villain that although you despise, you can't help but pity as well. That character is Diana St John. Such a twisted, sick, evil woman, that you love to hate.
What about Alex Wyndham’s performance did you like?
EVERYTHING! This man could read the phone book and make it interesting. He doesn't just narrate the Salt Hendon Collection, he performs it. His skill as an actor makes his performance of each and every character in the books absolutely believable. From the small children's voices, the women's voices, to the very different voices of each male character, Alex does a fantastic job. It's easy to forget that there is just one person reading the book. It flabergasts me how he can go from a gruff old man's voice, to one of a young child and yet both of them being equally believable. And OK I have to mention that when the character Magnus, is having romantic, heart felt moments with his wife Jane, the timbre of the character's voice, the emotion Alex portrays, makes those scenes absolutely swoon worthy. He has to be the best narrator I have come across. Lucinda Brant couldn't have chosen a better person to narrate her books. Her characters, and his voice for them are the perfect combination.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh yes absolutely. But at 24 hours long, there is no way I could do it. I did make a good effort though with my first session lasting nearly 8 hours. Listened to at night when I should have been sleeping for at least 4 of those! It was well worth it though, and another couple of listening sessions like that and I had completed the collection.
Any additional comments?
I only want to reiterate that the partnership of Lucinda's books, and Alex's narration is absolute perfection, and I hope that any and all of Lucinda's books will always be narrated by him.
